Served used soap!!!!! Hotel lobby was dirty, went to building where we were staying and a lot on construction materials laying outside. Came in the room and it was very dirty. Water was brown in the shower, shower was cracked and painted over. Supplied USED soaps!!!! Both packages where open and lettering on package was faded/gone and soap had marks in them and bar was used. Wall paper is pealing off the walls, lamps have stains on them. Carpet/base boards where filthy. Pool and sauna was nice but the whole pool deck was very bad chipping paint. Called to have room changed but they would not change it saying no rooms available, even though it was not busy at all.

Positive: Room was surprising very clean. Beds were comfortable but not firm. Very soft pillows. (Glad we brought our own) Our room seems to have been remodeled recently. Nice outdoor pool. Would stay again. Negative: Lobby smelled musty and needed refurbished. If you have bad knees or hips, this place has steps. Not much selection on the grab and go breakfast. Only room complaint you can hear the plumbing from the other rooms when being used.

Positive: The morning receptionist was kind, accommodating and a great decision maker. I called the morning of our reservation, voicing concern that my husband had just completed treatment for cancer and she gave us a room easy to get to and very clean and accomod. Negative: Grab go was easy. Coffee available. Lots of good tourist brochures and advice.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times to attend a nearby concert. Due to COVID, the last time we stayed was March 2019. It had seen better days during that stay and I was hoping for some renovations when we checked in again last weekend. The only thing that changed since our last stay is the hotel is in even worse shape. The cleanliness and maintenance of room 124 was terrible. There were dead bugs, hair, dust on the the baseboard heater right next to the toilet. The toilet thumped every time it was sat on. The furniture is old, outdated, scratched and dinged. All of this is a shame. The hotel is so nicely located and has potential to be such a quaint place. We enjoy walking to the Fireside Tavern which has great food and atmosphere. I’m sorry to say this was our last stay at this hotel.
