My experience and advice having been there this morning 6/8/22....there's a lot of bad reviews on here so I wanted to share my very positive experience. I have been trying to get a walk in appointment for a few weeks now and visited many DMV offices over the past 2 weeks from 8am to 3pm. No luck at all. I was told last week by this office to get there at 4am as the line starts at 5am. I was there at 4:30, first in line, and by 5am there were 10 others behind me. I also broke my leg last week so was on crutches and in a cast. When they opened at 7am, the lady let me in straight away (probably because she saw I was injured) and announced to everyone else that "it was 7am appointments only for now". She checked me in, made sure I had the documentation and gave me a ticket. I was seen by Mr. Benton less than 2 minutes later. He was extremely professional, handled the 2 things I was there for and I was out within 20 minutes. Thank you sir for your help and courtesy. My advice, go earlier than everyone else. Be polite as they are under huge pressure at the moment, and you should be good. Some others without appointments were being processed straight after me. So be patient and be early.

I had an appointment booked online for my road test and arrived just in time. Everything was done seemingly well according to the process they had in place. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews regarding the staff, but they are not rude. I was there for a long time and I haven’t seen anyone misbehaving or being rude to anyone. You obviously need to make sure you have all the documents in place, else they’d ask you to bring them and book an appointment again which I don’t think is rude; they are just following the book. Anyway, though the wait time is little longer; everything else was good. The staff is not very warm and welcoming but they are definitely not rude either. So yeah, book an appointment, make sure you have everything you need and you’re good.

THIS REVIEW IS SIMPLY TO HELP OTHERS:If you DO NOT have an appointment do not come after 11am. If you dont have an appointment and cannot wait a month to get one, arrive VERY EARLY 6am if possible with a beach chair if you cannot stand for two hours or more.If you need an appointment do not expect it to be happen soon,its about a month out and you have to schedule it ONLINE ONLY. Once inside I had a pleasant experience, everyone working was helpful and professional. Also check your needed documents before coming and NO Copies, original documents only. I arrived at 7am was not done until 12pm. Bring a snack 😋

Showed up shortly after 8am, which is when they open. There was already about 25 people waiting outside. After ten minutes of standing there, without the line even moving once, an employee comes out and says "Feel free to visit another location. We're short staffed and it'll likely be hours before you can get inside." I'm not waiting in the rain for hours, so I just left. You can create an appointment online but every location is booked for the next two months. Update: Similar situation the next morning, so just left again. Went back later in the afternoon and people from the morning were still standing outside. I was turned away because they were no longer accepting walk-ins an hour and a half before close. Unbelievable.
