My all-time favorite place to eat. No matter what you get off the menu you can test assured that it's gonna be delicious and hot and fresh!

Got the loaded Stromboli it wasn't as crisp as it used to be but overall still good.

Finally got to eat at this place that won WBKR radio tri-states Best Pizza. Pretty cool place, former General store built back in 1870 ! Very crisp crust on outside, slightly chewy in middle. Excellent grade of mozzarella cheese, which makes it tasty not greasy. sweet sauce with slight tange. The sprinkle of sweet Paprika powder on top was tasty ! The only thing I didn't favor was the canned mushrooms, but its tough to keep them fresh on hand. This place had a TON of character , staff was very nice and very proud of the history here. Only a calculator and a piece of paper ! I give it a 4.5 , a good solid score.

Iron gate pizza Go in with low expectations, you'll still be disappointed. First, you'll eat at folding tables with torn up chairs, poor service, 5" paper plates for pizza slices & no spatula/serving utensil provided. We got cheese sticks, and pizza. They brought the cheese sticks and 4 of the smallest paper plates ever made. When our pizza came, we didn't get new plates. Just go ahead and stick your hands in the grease, cheese, sauce mess. Apparently, they don't see any reason to provide serving utensils. Service was miserable. We saw a waitress after asking if we order at the counter, because we've never been here before, and no one was coming to get our order. We were ready to leave and asked a waitress for our bill and a box, she said "ok." Before coming back and telling us "the boxes are up there on the left," without a bill. We didn't realize we had a designated waitress, we didn't see much of her, but it seems we were supposed to, and they don't help each other out. It's a pizza place with no bread sticks or wings. But, the most important thing about any pizza place is the pizza. Like most kids, our kids love pizza, but they had no interest in a second small piece of this pizza, and were hungry when we got home. It tasted like premade crust with lots and lots of sauce and meager toppings. If you want seasonings, feel free to help yourself to the filthy Big Lots spice bottles on the table. You'll get a better pizza at WalMart on the frozen food aisle. No credit/debit would be a minor inconvenience, but added with everything else it's just what I'd expect. Really, I wish I could find something good to say, but I can't...
