My two younger daughters enjoyed dressing up as an evil fairy and princess and going to the Faire. Jousting was fun but limited seating so show up early. Parking filled up so also show up early or you may have to park on the roadside. As most fairest it's a few events and a lot of shopping.

Mixed feelings this year. Loved seeing so many more people, and an increased number of booths/vendors. However, the "magic" lacked. In the past it has been such an amazing experience... like literally walking into history with a touch childhood make believe! This year, that feeling was missing somehow... not as many in "character" greeting people, costumes were less dramatic... the small town feel became the big city. Maybe it was the heat???

I have gone to this festival multiple times and each time my family and I have a blast! There is good food to eat (we sampled meat pies, nachos, and ice cream this year and each was a good size and tastiness for the price), fun entertainment to watch (we watched jousting, equestrian sport, shooting, and various stage shows), and lots of great shopping for beautiful handmade items. If you are into LARP, Cosplay, the Renaissance, or just looking for family friendly entertainment outside, you should check this festival for sure!
