Our family has had pretty good experience with this location. They have separate restrooms that are kept quite clean. They have ample showers and changing rooms. The swimming pool is nice even if it does tend to run on the high chlorine side. They have a good assortment of apparatuses in the weight room and aerobic machines. Most of the staff are very helpful, however, there are some rough ones. They offer quite an assortment of classes and there is a preschool here too. The kids watch is really great. We have had a membership here for years and will continue to go in the future. If you found this review helpful, please hit the Like. Thanks.

I usually give great ratings, but my experience here has been pretty dismal. A couple of employees have a hard time saying what they mean, and it makes it really hard to communicate. I'm not sure why these people are in customer service type roles. Bad placement. :( I signed the kids up for a yearly membership, but after my experience it's unlikely we'll come back after swim lessons are over.

Staff members are friendly but the facility itself is disappointing. They must be making money hand over fist but don't seem to be putting money back into the facility for upgrades and updates. As such I truly believe that if a private gym with a pool (such as LAFitness) opened up, people would leave here in their droves. The changing rooms are cramped with a tiny bench for your things. There are no designated dry areas in the changing rooms and it's a bit frustrating to dodge the puddles when changing. The pool is not open for free swims often enough. There is a real lack of good equipment. They could do with purchasing more of the good treadmills (like the ones on the left), the tall stairs steppers and recumbent bike. It's frustrating to have to wait to get on a decent machine. Also I think there should be a 30 minute time limit on the cardio machines. In summary, this is a very busy place and there seems to be no effort to improve the facility or equipment. As such, I think if a private club with a pool/indoor courts opened up, people would leave the YMCA in their droves!

We joined the YMCA so that we could swim with our young children year round. They have a nice small pool for young children. However, the pool is not open/available very often. It is very difficult for working families to use it other than random times during the weekend when it is extremely crowded. We also tried to use their swim lessons, but they do not have enough slots available, and the classes fill up by 7 a.m. the day they are open. They state that they are family friendly, but after being members for about a year, that was not at all my families' experience.

Go to the cbry website and pull down the schedules tab - it will show the open swim times for both pools this month. It changes month to month, and even day to day, so definitely check that as your first resource!
