To start with, the food was good and the service was good. But the price of food at this place is absurd. To their credit, they do have an 8.5 by 11 piece of paper with a handwritten note taped to the door, citing food shortages as the cause of increased prices from what’s on their menu. But we ordered two arroz con pollo (ie. chicken and rice/broke college kid special), I ordered a water and my girlfriend ordered a margarita on special for $5. Our bill was $38. You can’t expect to stay competitive as a 20x40 strip mall Mexican joint if you’re charging $15 for ACP. I can go to a steakhouse and get a decent sirloin for that. Thanks but no thanks

Not bad if you have a coupon. Service was quite good but the food was only OK and the portions were kind of small.

If your in the Radford area and looking for a good Mexican Restaurant, El Charro is the place to go! I was in the area and stopped in for lunch. Their menu choices was plentiful and the prices were very reasonable. I was very pleased to find that they had items on their lunch menu for $4.99. That also included a salsa bar where you had your choices of different sauces to try with your food and your chips. My waiter Emmanuel did a awesome job making sure I had everything I needed to make sure I had a great experience. I would definitely check them out again next time I'm in the Radford area.
