I have to say very happy with this place. I had the Pablano stuffed Steak Picadillo, which was delicious. The sweet reduction sauce that was on it, compliments it very nicely. Only thing on why I did not give 5 stars was in my opinion the refried beans tasted as if the beans were from a can, not freshly made. Again it's just my opinion but everything else tasted fresh and great. I would definitely be coming back to try other items.

I've heard many good things about Mochilero Kitchen, finally got around to visiting for dinner. Now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. I'm a big fan of Mexican food, the flavor profile just works for my palette and I could eat it everyday. They had a really fun with lots of enticing options and I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other things. The cocktail menu was interesting as well, Stephanie had a Lime Drop and it must be very good because we saw one at almost every table this evening. We started with guacamole & plantains. The guac was good, could have used some more salt, I still ate most of it, lol. We each had a couple different tacos, the Al Pastor, Carnitas & the Chicken Tinga. They were very good sized and two was just the right amount, although I could have definitely eaten many many more! The Pastor taco was just the right mix of sweet & salty, will be a must order for future visits. We decided we had to also try the Sonoran Hot Dog and it was a winner as well. It came on a split top bun like you would get with a lobster roll and it was excellent. First time I've had one with black beans on it and it was excellent.

We went here after church service on a Sunday and the place was busy, but not hectic. We were acknowledged right away with a smile and was seated outside on the patio. It was a wonderful experience with delicious unique fresh food, sincere friendly service, and beautiful weather on the patio. I had the Red Snapper (see pic) and assembled yummy little tacos. The fish was cooked perfectly and very fresh. (I am cautious and picky about my fish because, well, Arizona) My mother in law had the steak and goat cheese stuffed pepper (forgot the actual name of dish). It was so indulgent and unique, yet came together wonderfully. Not like anything we've eaten. My husband had the taco trio and surprisingly enjoyed the papas (potato one) the most. He is a big meat eater. Lol. He didnt love the fried fish taco. But said he would definitely eat here again!! We all would! Definitely recommend.

My wife and I decided to try a new Mexican spot to eat. The restaurant was very clean and popular for a weeknight. We both ordered a variety of tacos and were pleased with almost them. I'm vegetarian and ordered the 3 meatless options. I would order them all again. My wife preferred the barbacoa short rib tacos.
