My favorite indoor shooting range in Vancouver. Facilites are clean, professional, and the staff are courteous. Even more amazing is it somehow manages to have RSOs that are polite, patient, and professional. As opposed to the usual NRA blowhards who need to full-steam yell at you for not putting your hot still-smoking gun back in it's fabric bag quick enough and then remind you about how they were in 'Nam.

We had a great experience here yesterday. Very nice facility and, even better, knowledgeable, approachable and friendly staff (and black lab!). The safety rules make sense and they’re communicated clearly. It’s very reasonably priced; I’ll be able to practice here as often as I want. Our Range Safety Officer, Kent, gave us some pointers and had some good ideas about what pistol may fit my wife’s small hands better. Everyone there made us feel at ease and Kent’s personal attention was appreciated. Highly recommended for all skill levels, including those new to guns. People who have made their first gun purchase recently and are vapor locked about how to learn basic safety and etiquette can learn a lot just going to Safefire and following the rules (but also please take safety and handling classes after that - I don’t care where but I bet Safefire’s are great).

I've been training at SafeFire for many years, as has my entire family, including my Army Officer daughter. Recently, I had occasion to entertain an out of town guest, that was working on a limited time schedule. I contacted Glenn, and asked if could he could put to together a custom training program to introduce gun safety, and introductory firearm usage to our guest. Without hesitation he went to work to come up with real options. He brought in a senior trainer, Paul, created a unique classroom environment, provided the required firearms and training devices, and even greeted us at the door upon arrival. Our instructor Paul, a retired law enforcement servant, was the single most knowledgeable individual, especially in the area of firearm law, that I've had the pleasure learning from. Thank you SafeFire, and staff, for going above and beyond to help educate our community on the seriousness of gun ownership and usage, and how to enjoy this American right.

The place seems to pride itself on being “friendly” to all people, especially women as it is owned by one; they even have a discount for ladies on Monday, which I appreciate since women should be getting practice in at the range as well. Came in today for the second time and had a weird unnecessary experience. The older range worker called Kent, walks up and down the range like a grumpy stooge ready to kill any sort of excitement you may feel, which is fine to an extent as it is his job to make sure we are all being safe and no incidents occur. Though, when I tell you this man interjected into a conversation I was having with another worker to tell me he didn’t like my facial expressions as the other instructor was giving me guidance about keeping my firearm in front of the red line, I’m not joking. As I was stepping back into my booth to correct my mistake, he gets in my booth to tell me to “lose the attitude or I don’t need to come back.” Just like that, no prior warning or conversation was had with Kent before this comment. I then asked if I could speak to the owner, as at the time, I wanted to correct the situation and continue to come there. I could tell I would get nowhere with Kent. He left (to get her number I assumed), came back and didn’t say another word to me. This behavior from a man 3 times my age hardly encourages me or anyone witness to the situation to feel great about coming back. Now, I’m not one to write reviews and harsh on anyones place of work, but beware ladies, make sure to smile once in awhile or Kent will make sure you feel even more so uncomfortable and creeped out. All other staff were nice, and great about communicating without projecting their anger issues onto customers. Don’t think I will be back, though I wish I wanted to.

We have been discussing optics on the pistols, but we haven't hit a deadline of when we will have any. It definitely is on our radar though.
Hi Sammy, All of our hours are up to date! Our store hours vary slightly from our Range hours, and can be viewed directly on our website. Google will not let us create two sets of hours for the store and range, so we've put these hours in the information section of our listing.
The store is open on Saturday but is closed on Sunday. Our range however is open both Saturday and Sunday.
Hi Larry! We have this firearm available in our range for you to shoot and try out before you buy!
Yes you can bring your own guns and ammo. Nothing steel core for ammo though.
Yes, but slugs only
Yes they do. As well as a women's only class.
SafeFire is currently enforcing mask mandates. In addition, SafeFire is limiting guests per lane, and reducing group class sizes to allow social distancing.
Yes! As an Oregon resident you are more than welcome to come here and shoot! We offer both private lessons and classes.
Children must be over the age of 10 as well as fit a height requirement which is 4′ 10″. Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian and are free with a paying adult.
Hi Karen! Many women do carry a 9mm! If you'd like try a few different calibers and models to feel the difference between them all, we'd recommend coming in and utilizing our rental firearms. You can exchange them out as many times as you'd like during your range hour until you find something you love!
We have targets specifically for sighting in rifles. Our staff is also able to assist if time allows.
Hi Sue! We are accepting new members. You can learn more about our membership perks and the different package options on our website, or by chatting with a member of our staff!
Hi Chris, It is $20/hour for one person on a lane. If you are LEO/Military/First Responder, then it is $15/hour.
Hey Charis, Our facility is wheelchair accessible with an elevator, handicap lanes, and always someone to open a door for you. We have over 65 rentals firearms with a wide range. Depending on your level we have 22 rifles or pistols that would probably be the best option to start. I would suggest giving us a call (360.834.7233) anytime between 11am and 8pm to talk to one of our range staff to discuss your specific needs in further detail. They can give you great advice. We also have private lessons with an instructor if you would like a one-on-one learning environment. Hopefully this helps you, but please feel free to reach out with any other questions you may have.
Yes you can as long as your ammunition is not steel cased around the actual projectile, steel core, or armor piercing (wolf generally fits into one of these categories). The best way to check your ammo is to hold a magnet over the top of your bullet, if it is magnetized- you cannot shoot it here. We do carry AK rounds that are good to shoot in our range.
Hi Rose, Unfortunately, we do not do archery. We are only a firearms range.
Law Enforcement/Military
Members do not have to pay for lane rentals and have access to unlimited shooting!
Yes, as stated before you have to purchase their ammo. Say you rented a glock 9mm and you did not like it. As long as you stay in the 9mm hand gun family you can switch to a different manufacturer. It let's you find the firearm that you like or handle best.
Yes, there is a rental.
You can bring your own ammo, or purchase ammo at the store or range.
Yes but you have to bring someone with you. Cannot rent pistols alone. (or bring your own pistol or be LE/MIL).
Yes. If you are interested in selling/trading your firearm, please bring it into the store Monday-Friday 11am-4pm to be evaluated.
We do not regularly stock 30 carbine ammo but we can certainly special order some for you.
Children must be over the age of 10 as well as fit a height requirement which is 4' 10". Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian.
They sell gift certificates. Your son can use those GCs to buy range time, shop in the store, etc.
