Love this place. Right next to the river. Best part was the kids didn't have cell service!

Still great! ... Great camping with kids. Tubing the river is great fun and a good way to cool down. It does get hot in the summer here, but it does cool off quickly in the evening hours so bring a jacket and firewood for a camp fire. The west end (right turn at entrance) of the campground has more shade than the east. Pit toilets are well placed and good potable water is available at multiple locations in the campground (but you are NOT allowed to fill up RV water tanks, just portable containers). Each campsite has a fire ring and table with a concrete pad. No hiking opportunities from camp, steep mountain on one side and river and road on the other. So play in the river or read a book or sit in a hammock or fish if you like to do that. Causey reservoir is just a short 10 minutes up the canyon has some short hikes along with non-motorized water sports. Pine view reservoir down canyon has all the power boat stuff you need. Occasional motorcycle rider traffic in the road is audible since they love the scenic Monte Cristo highway which passes by the campground. I don't think there are any walk up campgrounds anymore so you'll need to reserve ahead.

Great little campground not to far from the city but far enough away that there is no cellular service. The river is pretty fun to ride and it you have life jackets and adult supervision even the little ones can enjoy a ride down the river.

South Fork Campground was such a wonderful place to camp! It's right by the Weber River with plenty of access points to the river. The campground staff/host was great! Stew was friendly and kept everything up well. He checked in on everyone daily. The restrooms were clean and didn't smell as much as most I've been to. They actually had hand soap at the water spigots. I would definitely go there again. (Loop B Site 25 pictured)
