I'm relatively new to the world of vinyl, and this place was impressive without being overwhelming. I often worry about record stores being snobby or judgy but it was not the case at Rainy Day. They have a great mix of the obscure and popular and was well worth the hour ride from where I live. Probably for the best that I am that far away as well or I might be at risk of spending all my money there!

Still one of the greatest record stores on the planet. Small, intimate, but full of great stuff and a staff that will find it and get it if it's anywhere to be found. So glad Rainy Day is still here!

I've been going to Rainy Day Records for years. It is an awesome record store that has a huge collection to choose from. And if they don't have what you are looking for, they can find it for you. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

After a bad experience at a record store in Seattle (Easy Street Records), which was my first time buying vinyl in 30 years, I visited Rainy Day records in Olympia to do price comparisons. To my surprise this little record store is awesome. I went in to browse and found exactly what I was looking for within 10 minutes, 7 albums for under $4 each so I bought them for my aunt who recently bought a turntable. Rainy Day records has a broad selection of vinyl, cassettes, CDs and everything else you can imagine, with great prices. They have great deals on record players as well, which I almost bought today because it was such a good price (passed because we have enough music platforms already). The people who work here are way cool and the customers are friendly too. Much different than the experience I had in Seattle. Highly recommended!

Yes
I'd recommend giving them a call to find out.
You'd probably be better off calling them or finding a business email for them and asking there.
Yes, but you should call us and talk to a buyer before bringing them in! We get a lot of large collections in all the time, so we are particularly selective about what CDs and DVDs we buy, and we can't always look at them right away.
We limit our capacity to 6 shoppers at a time (occasionally going up to 8, depending on the situation), and masks are required. We also require the use of hand sanitizer or gloves upon entry, provided by us.
We're usually interested, but you should call or email us first!
We recommend Sound Audio Repair. They're local & do great work. https://soundaudiorepair.com/
Pam, you should call them. This is a forum that discusses public perception and information about things like what kind of business it is. In other words, you're asking the general public, not Rainy Day Records. Good luck finding your disc!
Yes! But it's best to call us and talk about your records before bringing them in.
No, but Videoland in Lacey does! http://www.videolandproductions.com/
We would be interested in them, if they are good enough condition. However, we don't sell 8-tracks for very much, so we don't pay a lot for them. You should give me a call sometime between noon and 6 on Friday through Monday and we can talk about it!
We're always buying used CDs. You can bring them in between 12-6 any day of the week, or give us a call if you want to talk more about it first.
Check it out
