Holiday Inn Express & Suites Parkersburg - Mineral Wells, an IHG Hotel

Rooms were nice & clean and the younger gentleman at the desk helped tremendously with finding us a wheelchair accessible room for my grandmother at such a late hour of the night and also helped with getting a roll away for my son and even brought extra blankets to our room. The breakfast was good and hot. The elderly lady who was setting breakfast out reeked of cigarettes, came off to be miserable with life, and took what seemed like a cigarette break every five minutes and not washing hands afterwards. Disgusting. She cursed like a sailor near the front desk with the woman working the desk at the time which is extremely unprofessional. My opinion- move the smoking area and hire some people who have more customer service skills. All in all a great establishment.

We stayed here when out of town for a funeral. The staff here was amazing. They were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was immaculate. Our room was comfortable. The pool area was clean. Breakfast was wonderful.

This place is just awesome. Our room was unbelievable and I may never leave this cushy bed. Went down to swim, had pool area to ourselves. Extremely clean and the jacuzzi was fantastic. I definitely give this a TOP rating.

We are IHG Spire Elite members and as such have stayed in many IHG properties across the east coast. Our stay at this hotel was the first night of a spring break road trip. Upon check in, Melissa was extremely friendly and welcoming. I have a weird allergy that often is not accommodated so we are in the habit of checking whenever we enter our room. (I’m allergic to feathers and down.). I had called ahead and was told the property doesn’t have feather pillows. Upon arrival, we found that there were feather pillows. We removed them and let the desk know. Melissa was amazing. She was very apologetic and tracked down poly pillows. She apologized profusely. None of it was her fault and we weren’t mad. She was incredibly accommodating and did everything in possible to ensure a great stay. We stayed in a queen suite sofa bed room. The room was huge! The beds were clean and comfortable. The room was larger than the $400/night Marriott we stayed at last weekend in Richmond VA. Don’t expect Marriott amenities but this is an amazing Holiday Inn Express. My husband enjoyed the hot tub at the pool. (Which the Marriott in reference didn’t offer) If your travels take you to Parkersburg, stay here. Melissa will take great care of you.
