Nice place for dinner on our 25th wedding anniversary! I surprised my wife because she loves seafood. Bobby was an excellent server!

Average seafood place, the lobster bisque had like hot sauce in it and was too spicy for me to eat it (I’m a wimp when it comes to spice but also lobster bisque shouldn’t be spicy, in my opinion), the shrimp and scallop entree came out lukewarm/cold but I had already sent back the soup and didn’t want to make a fuss. The chocolate brownie dessert was ok. The garlic broccoli side, lobster mash, and bee sting drink were both super delicious though.

Hands down the best restaurant in town. The food was spectacular. The service was top notch. If your celebrating or just want to have a nice dinner i would highly recommend this place.

As an overall dining experience, Kingfish deserves five stars. The dining room is softly lit and upscale looking. It's pleasurable to have a welcoming host seat you and check on you during your meal. A server just to fill your water, and yet another server to take your orders and serve your food and drink. If I had any complaints about the overall experience, it would be that the music is a tad loud. Now...I came at an odd time of day, and the restaurant was nearly empty and very quiet, so that may be why the music seemed louder than I expected. I ordered a Bellini cocktail. I've seen pictures online, but never tried one. It was tasty, but not very attractive here, which was a slight disappointment. They have always looked prettier in pictures. For an appetizer I chose the lobster bisque, and it was excellent. Very savory and creamy. A bread service was also provided, consisting of warm slices of sourdough bread and butter. I love sourdough bread, so I was delighted. So flavorful, and it was literally steaming, moist with a firm crust. The attention to detail in the piped butter was visually delightful. I chose the trio for my main course. Shrimp, lobster tail and scallops, with lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. I won't lie. I'm an American accustomed to large portions for my money. And this menu choice was probably the most expensive on the menu. The lobster tail was miniscule. The shrimp and scallops were substantially sized, and everything was well prepared and tasty. I'm just spoiled I guess and have had the pleasure of eating lobster in a lobster pound in Maine with sides and a dessert for twelve bucks...so fifty dollars for a few bites of lobster hurts a little. I will say that after the appetizer and main, I was satisfied and had intended to get the check and leave. But my server told me that there was both key lime pie and crème brûlée on the dessert menu and I was hooked. Two of my favorite desserts. I will say that the menu choices here go very well together. Sourdough bread and key lime pie tie in very very well with the seafood theme. Ultimately though, I opted for the crème brûlée, because I like to see how various restaurants execute it. I was intrigued at this restaurant's approach because it was presented with a cornbread Madeleine. I was not impressed with the Madeleine. They should be spongy and delicate. I think cornbread is a poor choice here. Cornbread is good and has its place, but it's too heavy for a Madeleine. It was heavy and dry. I took one bite and was disappointed. The crème brûlée however was everything I wanted. The crust was nice and crunchy and fun to break into. The custard was rich and delicious. I did enjoy the two fat, juicy raspberries plopped on top. So juicy and a nice addition. Overall, pricey, but a relaxing, upscale dining experience.
