Initial rooms were previously smokers rooms. The two queen bed room still smelled like a smokers room. This room as well had fleas on one of the beds. Floors were not clean. Given another room after reporting this. The king bed room as well appeared to be a smokers room. This room still reeked from previous smoker's. The floors here were not clean as well. They did go back and clean this room. Still smelled but appeared clean. The room given as replacement appeared clean and no smell of smoke. Air-conditioning could not keep the room cool. They gave a discount for the issues we have had. Staff (Cayenne) did everything she could to make it right. This was the bright spot of the stay.

Very nice double queen room at a very nice price made for a very nice stay. Excellent all around. Great food and they even do cocktails to go to take back to your room. The Tom Turkey Dinner tasted homemade and best dressing I've had in a long time. They give you a discount on breakfast too. Our daughter loved the pool and they had cookies and DVDs in the office. I want this to sound like an honest review by listing one bad thing but I just can't think of any. We will be back. Thanks cousin!

I am leaving a VERY positive review on our first night at this hotel. I had a bad experience with a different local hotel tonight. That hotel claimed that the 3rd party booking site I used did not hold the reservation properly with them and they said that my room for tonight’s reservation was unavailable, but yet my room for tomorrow was. So I went somewhere else completely and glad I did! I am so happy that we tried to see if Cousins Country Inn had vacancy and they DID. The front desk lady was absolutely accommodating and understanding of our situation. She was able to allow us to use a room that got opened up for tonight and tomorrow. The rooms are so clean, they smell nice, and are very very quiet considering how booked up they are. I like they have a hot tub-seems most hotels here don’t have one, and the overall design of the buildings makes it feel very cozy and welcoming. Definitely staying here again when we come to The Dalles for our fishing/hiking adventures!! So very very grateful!

Room was very large and spacious. Great walk in shower in room w/ 2 queens. Very good restaurant on premise plus 20 ٪ discount for wonderful breakfast. Evening cookies in lobby coffee bar with good coffee. Best room we stayed in during our 11 night vacation.
