I can’t say what was better—the food or the service—but both were superb. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and Shagan was so patient with those of us who were not super familiar with Indian cuisine as she explained the different dishes and how they were spiced. All the dishes were flavorful, and the meat was so tender. The butter chicken and the vegetable korma were especially good. The service was so friendly. I hope to come back here next time I’m in KC.

Oh what an experience!! Love the food. Having three different options is wonderful for a newby. Garlic naan is delicious. Customer service is incredible!!

The best Indian food I’ve ever had! Everything was delicious and the service was great, they even took the time to explain everything on their menu for us. We briefly met the owner and she was very nice, she told us that the daily menu changes often to make sure everything they serve is fresh. There is even a decent sized grocery section that you can browse while you wait for your food, we ended picking up some authentic Indian ingredients for our own kitchen. If you are craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine, look no further than Shagan’s.

This is my new favorite Indian restaurant by far. Those of you who know, will know. The food here tastes like going to an auntie's or uncle's house for dinner. It's not your mother's cooking but it is just as good and you are going to want seconds or thirds! The entire staff was so nice and polite. The serving size was enough to feed two. I will be coming back more often.
