Quiet, serene, shady areas... great place to have some peace and quiet just listening to the sound of nature, the water, the birds....

The fishing there is great! The trails are wonderful and beautiful! I use the trout slayer crawdads lure to catch tons of trout.

Nice little park. We came here years ago, fun in the sun.. And the river was shallow enough in spots the younger kids to play. Easy access and small walk to the river banks.. Being your floaties and enjoy... Not crowded at all..

That's actually the address of the county office (in Astoria) that runs the park.

What is the process to get a pass to hike the forest land road trail at Klootchy County Park?

I've always just seen folks come out and walk round there 4 exercise. I dont think u necessarily need a "permit" to walk on that trail .. ? There aren't any signs posted either way about that "hiking" specifically Parking has become pretty crowded in there since the COVID, just so u are aware & if U can get over there before all the crowds do-(??) Hwy 26/101 can get pretty crowded too. I ducked in Kloochy for a few minutes 2 try and get away from hwy 26 traffic and was shocked at the amount of cars in there. I think its because Saddle Mountain Hiking is still barricaided 2 the public since COVID & the overflow crowds come down from there into Kloochy, cos there's not much else ( places for ppl to go) except out 2 the Cliffs- Oswald State Park and that area is overflowing FULL ALSO everyday and weekends are crazy traffic everywhere usually gridlocked to Portland all the way back and sometimes into Seaside also. (Yikes!!?) PS: Tolovana Public Toilets in that beach are CLOSED

Is there a paved trail? I've asked this before. How many miles/feet/km is the gravel trail in total and the paved portion of the trail to parking?

The trail is marked out with rocks and no foliage.
