Room was nice and seemed to be pretty clean. One night stay on our way through the area. Beautiful views from the lodge. Did see a few bugs, looked like some kind of roach?? We chalked it up to being in the mountains and the age of the building. Maybe something better could be done to make sure these are exterminated though. Price for the room was a little high too, $315 per night. Might not have been to bad though considering we had 4 adults and 2 kids. We were also thinking we probably could've gotten 2 hotel rooms with a total of 4 queens for about the same price. We would probably look into doing that and just visiting the park next time we are around here.

An amazing experience. The Lodge is a beautiful building with great views of the mountains. Everything is very clean. There are hiking trails and decks to sit and enjoy nature, also zip lining. A gift shop and restaurant with friendly staff are also in the Lodge.

I purchased the adventure package after several attempts to find out what activity is included via phone. I could never get much of a straight answer even after speaking to 3 people and emailing. When I arrived the lodge person that checked us in said they didn’t have activities anymore. Said she would change our room rate to compensate and we could use the meal vouchers by eating at restaurant and charging to room. When we go to check out, they had no idea how to credit us for meals they said they would speak to someone and have them call us. Nobody called and I was charged full price for room & meals. I called now twice to address and just keep getting the “we’ll have someone call you” and they never do. This entire place is run by teenagers. It’s terrible. Nobody knows what’s going on, nobody returns calls, they say one thing yet do another it’s honestly a hot mess! We did the 3 levels of zip lining and it’s mostly literally in their parking lot. I do not recommend for any experienced zip liner. I spent close to $800 for our time at this lodge and I am very disappointed, feel cheated and lied to. The room was nice, the food was not. We stayed at another state park lodge a few nights before and I have to say it was an amazing experience. This was not.

We were told about the hiking trail to the falls here by my wife's sister. So we thought we'd come here and give it a go. The hike was breathtaking and worth the hike but if 425 steps are too much there is a overlook observation where you can look down and there is also a lower observation deck to look up to the falls. Absolutely beautiful. We found out there is a lodge so we decided to go there and was blown away. We had no idea this place existed. The restaurant inside looks out over the ridge line and the view was breathtaking. From what I read online this a damn near all inclusive place. The rooms in the lodge range from normal rooms to suites with kitchenettes. She me rooms have balconies and all of not most have views. This place also has cabins to rent. They apparently have zip lining and all kinds of activities, we visited in early February so most of these were not going on and we were visiting not staying but since we know this place is here that might change. I would look at the website for any details but we were definitely impressed.
