GlassMan has been wonderful to work with. The mirror I ordered for a remodeled bathroom was cut precisely for the space and looks fabulous! Just what I wanted. They also repaired multiple issues with my sliding glass doors. Working with Nichole via phone and e-mail for scheduling and project details was a breeze. The work was done timely with excellent craftsmanship, all for a reasonable price.

Glass Man is the Man! I was really impressed with their workmanship and professionalism. I have wanted to get a shower door installed for a long time and I am happy I chose the Glass Man. They were able to finish my project weeks before they promised. Overall I couldn't be more satisfied.

Had Glassman install a shower door. Despite the Pandemic and supply chain delays they were always open and honest. They were quick to respond to all inquiries and never wavered in their price or commitment to get the job done. Nichole was great to work with and the two young men who installed the glass were very professional.

A few days ago I was in a panic trying to find a business where I could get glass cut and fitted immediately for a fair price. I had purchased a large antique picture frame from local antique mall and was planning to use it at my wedding as a welcome sign, but the frame did not have any glass or a mirror. I contacted Lowes, who does offer this service, but I called atleast five or more different times trying to find out the cost as well as which locations had trained employees in the glass cutting. I went to one location that a Lowes employee directed me to and I was told that someone currently on the clock could help. when I arrived, someone else told me that they did not cut glass there. The second Lowes I went to I was also told that someone who could help was available, but when I got there not long after the call, that supposed trained employee was no longer around. Another guy tried to help me and was honest, saying that he did not feel well trained for the glass cutting. I stood and waited for him to cut that picture glass for almost two hours ultimately leaving with nothing because he could not cut the glass into a sellable condition. overall I recieved less professional or expertise customer service in this situation from Lowes. I called GlassMan Inc the next morning and explained that my wedding was in a few days and I needed the frame fit. The lady on the phone told me that she would tell the men cutting the glass on site that this was an urgent job for a wedding. I brought the frame in and everything was cut and secured within 20 mins! The price was a little higher than at Lowes, but the service was speedy, glass was secured, and cut nicely it wasn’t jagged or cracked like it had been at when I went to Lowes.

Questions & Answers

How do I go about getting and estimate or quote? How long does it take to get a quote?

GlassMan Inc | Aug 17, 2018

Generally we can give you a verbal quote over the phone before we send a technician out to your home, thus giving you a general idea of your cost. We would need to know product being repaired or replaced, as well approximate size. Once we have a field measure, we can usually have a firm proposal done and ready for you in 24 to 48 hours

What’s the difference between regular glass and safety glass?

Annealed glass or float glass is the basic form of all glass. When broken, annealed glass will shatter or break in big fragments. Safety glass or tempered glass is glass that has been processed usually by a heating process to make the glass stronger. When broken, tempered glass will shatter into small fragments, making it less likely to cause severe injury. Another safety glass is called laminated glass. Laminated glass is when two pieces of float glass are bonded together with an interlayer, usually of polyvinyl butyral to remain bonded, keeping the glass from breaking into large fragments.

Use compressed air, no more than 60psi, just blow out the drain holes. If it doesn't clear you have a hole new ballgame.

I bought new glass for the front of my oven. It will fit with approx. 1.5" cut off the bottom. Can you cut this glass to fit for me?

The glass in an over will be tempered glass, which cannot be cut down. It is a heat treated glass that is ordered to size and cannot be altered after.

Thanks but how long will it take to get the job done?

GlassMan Inc | Aug 17, 2018
GlassMan Inc | Aug 17, 2018

This depends on what type of repair/replacement you are having done. Product lead times vary from product and manufacturer. A broken window replacement takes us 3-5 days to receive from our vendor; a new window can take 10-14 working days to receive from our vendor. Lead time also depends upon the time of year and how busy our vendors are. We buy from several local vendors, therefore giving us a better selection to choose from. If one vendor is over loaded with orders from other customers and have extended their lead times we go to another with a better lead time, to offer faster service to you.

What causes condensation, moisture or mold on my window?

GlassMan Inc | Aug 17, 2018
GlassMan Inc | Aug 17, 2018

If moisture or condensation occurs between the glass, this is due to a seal failure. The only option is to replace the glass. If moisture or mold occur on the inside of your window this is due to poor or lack of circulation in the room – a suggestion is to leave the door open or open your drapes or blinds
