I give it two stars for location atmosphere. Being right on the lake this place could be a GEM ! But alas - it is not ! The bartender brought me chips and salsa - the salsa was watery finely diced tomatoes and onions. It was free - no big deal. I chose the GRILLED FRESH SALMON ! It was anything but FRESH ! RUBBERY. The rice it sat on was old, dry, and flavorless 😣. I got fries as one of my choices and when I asked for a bottle of ketchup she brought me packets 😡I DON’T DO PACKETS ! One of the other choices was Caesar salad which I think should come out before the meal but it came with the meal and it was a dinner salad ! This place needs a new MANAGER cause like I said this place COULD be great - BUT - it’s NOT ! ! !

We got one of the platters that feed four and two fried shrimp baskets for the kids. Both were delicious. The kids tore their baskets up! Afterwards we walked outside and took some pics. Only reason we gave 4 stars is because it did take awhile for the waitress to come take our order and we had to remind her three time to bring my Dr Pepper. Other than that we will be back again. We will be back when the weather gets cooler so we can sit outside and view the volcano.

The queso was amazing and not runny. The salsa was fresh. We had the steak tubular taco and pork sandwich. The steak taco was more like a burrito. The taste was good. The pork sandwich came with fries (tasted like refried fries from McDonald’s). Hmm. The pork sandwich wasn’t bad. Kind of dry, but not bad. We would try it again.

So, atmosphere wise this is a very cute place (although sun faded and worn). The kiddos didn’t seem to mind. Out front there are many photo ops (sun worn but cute) and out back there is a (non-working) volcano (the BIG freeze took it out apparently) and a pretty cool shark in the water. The food was meh for the price and our personal experience with service received was not good. All of those things brought it to a three star overall for us. Really hoped for more than what we got because from the road we were super excited to go to such a themed decked out place. Maybe we will give it another go in the future!
