Had an amazing, fun, and epic photoshoot at the Lake Whatcom Railway today! What a treasure of truly classic and vintage trains... and the folks who steward these gems are the best - friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Looking forward to more adventures here!!! Photo opportunities are seriously limitless!!

The train broke down shortly after departure, we were able to coast back to the station. It was Mother's Day weekend, we were reimbursed and offered 10% off our next ride. Still would had been cool, if we got to go the whole trip.

A really neat historic train ride. They have a steam engine that is no longer in service. We took the 1941 diesel engine and a the 1907 Pullman passenger car. Frank (the owner) has owned this section of rail line for 50 years and starting in June 2016 they will have ran the line for 46 years. We were serenaded by a gentleman playing the banjo in between Frank giving history of the area. Such a scenic area to explore and I would do this again for certain. We also got to take a turn on the hand car which was a lot of fun.

A freaking train....that takes u to get your Halloween pumpkin! Banjo Jim was great....played all the hits....only reason this didn't get 6 stars is because there was no WiFi....well, and this being the ONLY 6 star attraction would break the internet....Plus, I think WiFi affects the locomotives' ability to drive in a straight line...atleast that's what I told my 4 year old. No Summoners War, but literally everything else! (Not kidding....i think I spotted a penguin reading in the onboard library & candy vortex!)
