This place has an incredibly kind, professional, and talented staff. They are all so loving to our dog, the facility is clean and welcoming, and they even have a night-time nurse's email so you can check on your pet post-surgery. I missed our sweet doggy the night she had to stay, and when I emailed the nurse line I was sent this picture of my puppy all bundled up in a blanket, and a thorough update on her well-being and mood. ❤️❤️❤️ A+++++

Animal Surgical & Orthopedic was excellent to work with. When I price-checked other orthopedic specialists in the area, the price was similar. The reviews at this spot are better, and for good reason. They are much more responsive. When you are dealing with an injured pet that needs surgery quickly, it eases your mind when you get called back promptly. They were able to get my dog into one of their emergency spots and she is now in recovery. The surgeon, Dr. Thoesen, was very informative. You can see from the radiographs that his work is very clean and skilled. The front desk staff is incredibly kind, professional, and again, RESPONSIVE. God forbid I have another issue like this, I will definitely come to this clinic first.

Dr. Mitchell and his team helped us find light in a dark place when we felt all hope was lost. When our cat Ronan fell from our 4th floor window and broke both his ankles, several surgeons told us there was little we could do and that any surgery would more than likely fail. That he may lose his right leg, and that he may never walk without a limp again. Today, Ronan is back to his old self, even more active than ever before. You’d hardly know he was “part cyborg” and had metal in his legs with the way he walks and runs around the house, and we have Animal Surgical Orthopedic Center to thank. Having a pet suffer a fracture, especially in such a traumatic way as Ronan’s, is heavy on your heart and it is a very difficult time. Sometimes you just need someone to talk to with excellent bedside manner that you can not only trust with your family member, but guide you through the hard time emotionally. This all happened during the pandemic, and being unable to talk to your pet’s doctors and nurses in person is so difficult. But many long and reassuring phone conversations were had with Animal Surgical Orthopedic Center staff that helped us get through such a dark time in our lives and I am so appreciative of each and every one. If your pet suffers a fracture, don’t settle for any place else. I can assure you it will cost you no more than any other “specialist” and your experience and support will be significantly better. These are the best surgeons and nurses you could possibly ask for.

My maltipoo Cali tore her CCL and our vet referred us here. During the consultation, the surgeon talked to us for close to an hour talking us through all questions and options. After we scheduled the surgery, the team here were super diligent and thoughtful about all the additional questions we had. It's 7 days after the surgery, and since then, I have called in/emailed the team over 30 times for questions, concerns and basically everything I was nervous about (it's my first dog surgery!) and I cannot tell you how kind, patient and detailed they have been in addressing each and every inquiry. I am SO grateful for the entire team and super impressed with the level of care and genuine concern they showed Cali. They also sent updates and photos during her overnight stay! I cannot write enough good things about my experience and would give 10 stars if I could. :D

Do they fix rabbits? If so, how much would that cost?

They did a great job operating and following up on my dog. Not sure about rabbits though! But, I do recommend them.

Do you have a spinal surgeon on staff now

We do have surgeons that can perform spinal surgery. However, veterinary neurologists typically perform surgery on most types of back injuries.
