Unfortunately it should be said, maybe this will encourage management to adjust its practices and who is allowed/encouraged to interact with the public… I purchased a room for my mother while we were traveling along the coast for a short trip. I myself am a climber with a van, and don’t need a room; but my mom is of the thought a room is necessary. I suppose something can be said for the fact they even have smoking rooms, but unfortunately my mother does smoke, so maybe they began to sum me up as less for that consideration. I asked for something on the ground floor, and after originally deciding a non smoking room would be better (better upkeep and odor) we were back to smoking, due to that being what was left on the ground floor. After figuring out the lights, as my mom was settling in, they began to flicker, and actually fully shut off. At that point I began looking for backups, and flicking switches. After a series of switches in succession was to no avail, I reached up to see about the bulbs integrity. When I did so, I received a shock. When I subsequently inspected the area, I found that neither socket had a bulb, while one was actually broken off and exposing wires. I unplugged the unit and proceeded to the desk. I made mention of the occurrence, and as this man (name in photos, or at least that’s the sign he pointed at when I asked if he was the owner, stating “what does that sign say”; though it actually says MOD) stared at his computer screen and chuckled saying “why did you do that?” I was sort of bothered by the reaction, so I expressed that I was shocked by his lack of concern for something that could have been or lead to something much worse. At that point I told him that it’s a hazard and could lead him to a law suit. Immediately he escalated from a soft tone to an upright posture, with intimidating body language and yelling “why don’t you leave”, then threatening to charge me more for not leaving. I immediately began taking on a role I was unprepared for, and deescalating a man that I was concerned could become violent. Had my elderly mother not already been settled in the room and lamp unplugged, I would have been more than happy to leave, but I had to plead with this guy now, that my mom needs to rest, and my expression of concern was for him and the ownership. I declared that my father owns two motels, and I have been in his role more than once. I also expressed that 5 years as a firefighter had me desiring to express concern where hazards lay. I have no interest in wasting my precious time on earth, involved in the stress and commitment of a law suit. My expressed concern was for future guest safety, since if I had a heart condition, or touched the socket in some other way, the result could have been deadly. We later found out the adjoining rooms had flickering lights as well, and none of our TVs worked (I could care less about TV, but this leads me to believe a great electrical issue exists). In addition, aside from hazards there is no breakfast, though all their adds communicate otherwise. Lastly, in the photos, is a hair on the shower wall, one of many indicators of a not so clean room. As of now, this place is dangerous, misleading, and has one manager (maybe an owner?) that does not care about good communication or the health and safety of his guests. This is maybe the cheapest, but another $10 or $20 is worth the peace of mind and hopefully better integrity, communication, and concern for their paying customers.

On their website and Priceline website it advertised two pools one indoor one outdoor and they offered a full buffet breakfast. This was a lie a lie, the both pools have been closed since covid and it was no breakfast. It was also way overpriced it was $194 for one night. The owner of this facility was very very rude I couldn't even get a refund on the room I would never recommend a super 8 to anyone I've been having a lot of problems lately with super 8s never again with a super 8

Positive: It was very clean, bed was comfortable and very quiet. The TV had very poor reception and we had a difficult time viewing most channels. Overall, the entire facility was very clean and the staff was very accomadating. Negative: They said there was a pool and breakfast is served. Very disappointing because the pool was closed and they haven't started serving breakfast because of Covid.
