Pros: Lots of amenities: large playground, pavilion, clean bathrooms and showers, large store in the office, etc. The grounds were well kept. Cons: The downside I’d say are the sites themselves: very close together and awkwardly set up. Our door faced our neighbors door basically. It was fine for an overnight since there aren’t a lot of options in this area, and I assume that’s why they charge so much. But in my opinion, having been to campgrounds all over the country, it’s not worth $70/nt. It is right next door to the amusement park so maybe that’s the draw as well. Worth an overnight stay, but wouldn’t stay for a week.

They closed lake compounce due to rain but won't give you a refund. They also decided since the park closed early, they would close the store at the campground early too. They didn't bother to tell the campers. Its 6 pm and nobody cam buy wood. They only want you to use theirs but give you noway to buy it. This is the worst customer service experience ever

Nice clean Campground. We stayed in a Cub Hut which is not glamping but nice step up from tent camping. The huts have outlets, small tvs, and heat/AC. The campsite is well maintained but not many amenities. No pool or lake to fish or paddle in. But you do have the amusement park right next door. Campers get free parking and discount tickets to the amusement park. Bathrooms are close and pretty clean.

While the rv spots are pretty much just in the middle of a field, they are big, flat pull thrus. Plus the cleanest restrooms and nicest store ive seen outside of fort wilderness in Disney!

Only in the rv and tent sites, not in the rentals (cabin, tipis, bear hut) I'd double check to be sure tho
No, they don't. I ask every time I go there hoping they'll upgrade their policy.
No. But the Teepee sites and cabins have electricity and AC
We stayed in a 2 bdrm cabin for only 1 night. It was me and my 2 kids, another couple and 1 child, and another couple and their 2 children. We had an amazing time and the cabin wasn't crowded at all. Very inexpensive as we split the bill 3 ways and came out to $60 per family for 1 night. We will definitely be doing it again just longer stay next time! As far as safety all of us felt safe.
