For me, this is my go to woodworking supply store. It's only about 5 miles from my home and the owners are very knowledgeable about woodworking. The store also has a great selection of wood and tools. An updated review. Still good with a few more positives. After spending more time at Sumner Woodworker I have to say their woodworking advice is spot on. Also the wood supply problems have begun to clear up (July 2022).

I’ve been shopping here for about 15 years It’s got some harder to find stuff that Rockler and Woodcraft don’t have. The hand tool selection is basic, if they stocked some higher end and niche hand tools I would gladly buy them locally even if they cost a bit more than online. Sometimes the staff is a bit surly but I’ve seen some of the people that stumble in and honestly I would probably become a little less affable myself. Would really like to see some quality western saws, and a better selection of planes. Will probably go look for a spokeshave, and tapered reamer soon, fingers crossed.
