Standard clean, no frills Fairfield brand. Not remotely close to the historic part of New Castle. Better for a business trip than a family vacation. Right on a noisy state highway; stay on the back side of the building for a better sleep. Need reservations for the small pool during this part of the COVID epidemic. Very friendly greeting from front desk on arrival.

Great experience. I had no reservation and check in service was excellent. Staff found me a room and tried to find me the best rate. The room was clean and quiet. The facilities were excellent, seem well staffed and safe. If you're traveling and need a break, I definitely recommend. I started at a hotel across the way that was cheaper. I would rate that one as zero stars. Don't be fooled by the cheaper rate. I was there long enough to check-in, look at the room and facilities, and check out. It was dirty, smelly, and did not feel like a safe environment. Stick with the Fairfield Inn. It is worth the little bit more in price, even for a single night.

Housekeeping was poor and the overall stay at the hotel was NOT comfortable. Upon arriving, I had to ask to change rooms twice. The first room had an open hole in the ceiling with exposed insulation. The second room had stains on the main bedsheets and remnant water marks from the drinks of a previous guest. When I got to my third room, I noticed scuffmarks on the comforters but at this point I had given up and figured I could sleep on the opposite side of the bed and request housekeeping the next day. First thing next morning, I requested housekeeping from the front desk receptionist, who seemed to quickly brush off my request. She quickly glanced at me and assured me my room will be put on the list. Later that day, I came back to the room and housekeeping was NOT done. I called the night staff at front desk and the receptionist at that time explained that my room was not written on the list. He, unlike the morning receptionist, was polite so I agreed to get fresh towels and be done with it until the next housekeeping day. The following morning just as I was getting breakfast, the morning receptionist I had spoken to first quickly rushed over to me without greeting and tried to blame me for not having the room ready for housekeeping. I was shocked by this as I had not given any attitude to any of the staff despite the inconveniences I had to work around. She seemed consistently rude and unwelcoming, and this second instance confirmed it for me. It was unpleasant starting the day off with that slightly petty confrontation. When I finally got housekeeping after a second request, I noticed that the comforters still had the same scuff marks in the same locations. Clearly, the sheets had not been changed and everything was just refolded to look otherwise. At this point I was done with this hotel and the "hospitality" they provide. I initially meant to extend my stay due to business but decided to check into a different hotel for the rest of week, even at higher cost. The only thing moderately good at this place are the 1-2 polite evening receptionists. I will not be staying at this hotel again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

They stay was good. Staff was very friendly. Rooms where clean but a bit small. Bonus that breakfast was included! Shower worked well but toilet didn’t flush and tried to keep filling the tank with water. Elevators could use an update but overall this was a great one night stay and a much more affordable price than other Marriott chains in the area. We were happy with our stay.
