We stayed a night here on our way up around the Olympic Peninsula. Huge spots. Very few people. Wonderful campground. A first for us, the campground host was in a tent.

We really enjoyed this camp area! We haven’t got the chance to explore it too much as we decided to camp at the last minute. Here’s what we try to look for when we are exploring somewhere new so hopefully this helps you! Is it open- YES as of May 21, 2022 we can confirm it is☺️ Fee’s - YES $20 we posted a picture of their rules with fee and maps Clean bathrooms- absolutely! With motion light! Camp sites- we need a spot to fit our utility trailer and there were a few. The spots are clean and well maintained! There is a good amount is space between the campsite’s. There is a fire pit with a grill and a picnic table. There were downed trees so there is camp fire wood. We use a poison pump filled with just water to put out any fire we make at any campground, and to wash hands or feet 😊 Host- there wasn’t one when got there but the ranger did come around 8-9am very friendly!

Really awesome spot! Less crowded than I would have expected and there were mainly families. Dog friendly, so my pups had a great time. There was some partying and yelling at night but that died off quickly. The hike loop is gorgeous and well-maintained, reason enough for a visit.

Great camping, beautiful country, and very clean facilities. Close to Mt Elinor and a lot of trails.

I thought I reserved campsite for labor day weekend in Big Creek in Hoodsport apparently it was Big Creek in Ashford. How big are the sites? Private?
Most weekends it fills up, but if you get there early you may luck out. Check out is at 11:00 and the Forest Service ranger is good at checking sites to ensure turnover.
