Wow what a disappointment. I've been to Darien Lake in the past and loved it but after visiting on Sunday July 31st 2022 I was left underwhelmed and disappointed. First off literally half the water Park was closed due to staff shortage but they manage to have enouf staff for every they need to make money off of including charging 12$ for a water tube for the water park that's operating at half. We literally waiting over a hour for one water slide because there was only 3 that where open. Hours where short 11-7 and we dint have time to get many rides in. Food was way over priced and staff was rude. No cash in the park?! So make sure you bring a visa , again just ridiculous. The prices have gone up but the park standards went downhill it's ludicrous. No more live shows, no more laser shows, half a water park and expensive food. (Spend over a 100$ for family of 4 just on lunch) on top of the 20$ parking.I'm sad to see this park in this state. Please bring back the park we all grew up with and loved because this ain't it. I would not recommend to anyone unless you get discounted tickets because you will be disappointed.

Could have been better if we were able to park the golf carts up by the front gate by the beach access from The campsites !! Six Flags Darien Lake you should consider that!! Other than that food was a little bit pricey all day drink is worth it especially if you have little ones!! Subway closes way too early makes it hard if you were able to walk something last second and you couldn't because they closed down between 4:30 and 5!! Park was slightly loud at night in the campsites due to everybody driving by and security!! Other than that I would consider bringing your own food and drinks until you get to the park other than that not too bad!!!! Staff was great and very nice!!

Overall, the park was lots of fun. Not a lot of time spent waiting in line for rides on a Monday during the summer. Most we probably had to wait was 15 minutes for a roller coaster. Water park was significantly busier as it was hot outside. 3 of the big slides were broken/closed, which sucked, but oh well. Everything else was open, and the shorter wait times made up for it. Rides like ride of steel and tantrum you could just walk onto. I do recommend eating before and after you get to the park instead of spending the money on the park food. Wasn’t super worth the prices. Wish they still had some shows too. Seemed to have eliminated them after Covid. Hours for the park could be a bit longer as well. 11am-7pm on weekends is quite short for a theme park. Enough time for us to go on all the rides for the most part, but not if the park happened to be busier. Other then that, we had a fun time.

They don't take cash anymore so you can convert it from money to To a Visa debit card. Food is a little expensive but pretty good. Family had a great time on first day of opening the park. Will be going back real soon. New rides on point! Friendly environment and Police security was great.

Currently, only service dogs are allowed in the hotel. Dogs are allowed in all cabins and RVs, but there is a pet fee. Dogs are allowed in the campground (on your plain old piece of land) at no charge. Only service dogs are allowed in the park. Vaccines are required to bring any dog, including service dogs.

Can season pass guest passes be used during Fright Fest?

Sophie Territo | May 12, 2019
Ryan Taylor | May 13, 2019

Only for normal park entrance on the season pass. The "Fright Fest" parts are extra. I believe its 5 or 10 dollar's for a walk through of the haunted house style thing and then 25 for a one time go through of all other events. I believe its 35 for unlimited walkthroughs and all other events multiple times. I hope I explained that correctly.
