6 weeks later and their "New" self checkout registers still don't accept cash and only have 2 registers open with a line that is constantly long. I just left a full grocery cart at the self checkout and ask them to put everything back. This place clearly needs a "New" general manager.

Is the meat good quality? Some commissarys same to carry low quality meats.

High hopes to be able to shop at the commissary after the new policy that allowed vets who has a service connected disability to start shopping on base. Was very disappointed when I saw the prices. I could have shop at my normal grocery stores and gets the same or even better prices. I shopped at Winco for majority of the groceries except meats. For meats I shop at either Fred Meyers or Safeway. For large bulk items, I shop at Costco. Thought Cigarettes would be a lot cheaper on base. Not anymore, maybe a saving of a dollar on a carton compared to smoke shops. with the 5% surcharge, makes it about the same as anywhere else off base. Wasted 45 minutes of my time and gas driving there and back. Will not shop there again.

It's okay! prices aren't always as low as they could be. Avoid shopping on payday unless you enjoy standing in line seemingly for ever.. All the old people everywhere? They're not retirees, they've just been waiting in line a reallly long time. Produce goes bad very quickly and it's always really awkward telling the baggers I want to take my cart myself. They expect a tip, and it makes me feel awkward for not wanting to give them one. Aside from that nonsense, they DO have a decent selection of stuff&things and it's always clean and organized. I'd shop here! Oh wait I already do. Best time to go? When my spouse is home and can sit with the kids so I can slowly stroll the aisles and have some quiet. So basically right before closing.

A military counterpart IE Soldier Airmen spouse can bring a civilian with them. The military personnel will have to pay at the checkout because they have to show ID.
If you are inquiring if the facilities carry it, yes they do.
