Don Juan's is a little unassuming from the outside, possibly because it's in a strip mall! We've learned to never underestimate the power of a restaurant by it's location! The first thing you notice is the decor, it's beautiful! Nice earth tone colors with big-bottomed comfy chairs and rustic wood tables make it super comfortable to relax and enjoy the meal. A great thing we noticed right away was the table for two is plenty big enough, they're usually too small! The service was very friendly and attentive, we never wanted for anything! We each had the Don Juan Margarita and highly recommend trying that one, it was unique and delicious, not too sweet with wonderful new flavor twist of cucumber! We also both ordered the street tacos as we weren't super hungry. Oh gosh, let me tell you, those were some of the absolute best street tacos we've ever had! I had the carnitas and hubby had the carne asada. They were full of flavor, and meat, and the tortillas were steamed nice and soft. We added some guacamole for our chips and salsa and although chunkier than we typically enjoy, it was very good with fresh avocado and just the right amount of flavor. The chips aren't your typical restaurant or store bought chips, they're thick and hearty and super crunchy so they stand up to the fire roasted salsa and thick chunky guacamole, we loved them! Our host at Reed's Sweet Wine in Tacoma recommended Don Juan's and boy are we glad she did! We will now highly recommend Don Juan's as well!

If you haven't eaten here yet, you need to put it on your next destination when you eat out again. Absolutely the best! So flavorful! Many unique approaches to some of our favorite dishes! Much much better than I imagined it COULD be. It's definitely not the freeze and heat type of restaurant. Great prices! Delicious food and friendly environment!

Absolutely amazing food! This was our first time in and our server went over the top for us! She gave us little taste testers of their specials and sauces! The wet burritos were huge and delicious!! They have options for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan! Will definitely be coming back soon!! 👏👏🙌🙌

This was my second visit here in the past six weeks. I just had to bring my friends to experience the great food here. Being Mexican-American, I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food and I have to say that this is up there at the top. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The service is as good as the food. Driving in from Olympia for lunch, you won’t be disappointed, believe me. I had Mole that was very well prepared and flavorful, my friends had the quesadillas which were excellent and the Wet burrito was super. I had street tacos the first time I was there and was very pleased. The rice and beans were the best I’ve had at a restaurant in so long I can’t remember. As I said the service was excellent and I was so glad that my friends were all crazy about the food as well. They serve up a super selection of hot sauces with the meal which make it even more interesting, including their own orange sauce which is great. So if you’re on I-5 driving north or south or anywhere else for that matter and want a great meal Bye-Golly come here!
