I have read the other reviews and they are unfortunate. Also, they do not reflect the feelings of over 16,000+ former residents that have transitioned to a better life because of this program. As a work-release, I expect residents to complain when they are sent back or infracted but my hope is that others will also share their experiences both positive and negative so the readers have a fuller picture.

I have been involved with this company for over 5 years. The Progress House staff are hard-working and they are really there to keep the community safe and not just the residents.

Progress House is full of great caring staff that supports people on their journeys to being their best selves. Any issues that were brought up from residents were handled quickly. This is a safe environment for people looking to make a change. Really loved the food there and resources that staff provided.

The facility is dirty. Shower facilities contain mold. There is no ventilation in the bathroom shower rooms. Fans are set up but do not work. Often bathroom facilities are closed for repair. I was told by a veteran DOC employee that he approved of the terrible condition in hopes that I would never come back. Counselors come with a dislike for the job and DOC and it is reflected in how they perform their job. I am amazed that Pierce County Health Department allows this place to stay open. One star is too good for this dump.
