@khan law it would have been acceptable had I been explained why you couldn't help me. Literally was told," we are going to get you your money. " And then an email followed saying you'd not be able to help me. Donna never explained anything and pretty much just talked in circles about getting the case taken care of and then I got cut off without even a slight apology and when I responded the reply from Kelly was rather crude and almost sassy in nature. I am not trying to make this an issue but I thought you should know the specifics of the individual case that wasn't just about the inability to help me with my case. I'm not bitter because the case wasn't being able to go through. I'm talking about the interaction between client and staff.

Last night, I received a letter from the court of Seattle stating that I need to show up to court for a "Hit and Run" that DID NOT HAPPEN two years ago. I immediately started searching for lawyers. I found Khan Law Firm and used their online chat function on their website. No attorneys were available at the time, but TERI got back to me first thing in the morning. All I can say is WOW! She is absolutely amazing. She's easy to talk to and made me feel so much better. Although she said she couldn't help me with my specific case, she pointed me in the right direction. She gave me advice on the next steps I should take and advised me on getting a "defensive" lawyer instead. Although Teri wasn't able to represent me, I know that if needed, I know that I could reach out to her any time for a personal injury lawyer. In summary, she is responsive, professional, and honest. 10/10, would recommend.

Thank you very much Jennifer Puckett for taking care of my case. At first Peter was the one who's suppose to take care of my case for two years (he wasn't work there anymore now but I didn't know), and no one reviewed and checked my case until I talked to Jennifer Puckett. She finished my case within 4 months ( or less ). I would recommend Jennifer for any case. She has experiences, she listens to what I have been on accident and how pain I got and finally I got a lot of money back on my case 😍. Thank you very much Jennifer. No word to say how I am happy and appreciate you! God bless you!

Questions & Answers

I was injured in a car accident and haven't been able to work for a month. Is it possible for me to get compensated for lost wages?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Dec 17, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Dec 17, 2021

Yes. All actual past loss of wagesΒ from the date of the accident to the day you return to work is considered income loss. You are entitled to a full refund of all lost wages. Although you are entitled to pay for time off work, keep in mind that your employer will need to verify that you were unable to work. It's critical that your doctor issues you a "prescription" for time off work in the form of a documented work release. If you take time off without a doctor's note, your insurer is likely to question whether you were able to work or not.

I was injured in an accident, but the driver who caused the accident is not insured. What can I do?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Dec 17, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Dec 17, 2021

Your own uninsured/underinsured insurance coverage may apply if the other driver is uninsured or has minimal insurance. Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage is included in many auto insurance policies. We'll be able to tell if yours does. On your behalf, we will investigate all options and seek the highest possible compensation.

How can I prove that a product was defective?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021

This is dependent on the liability theory pursued by the injured party. When bringing a negligence claim, the plaintiff must show that the defect that caused the injury was caused by the defendant's failure to exercise reasonable care in the product's design, manufacture, and marketing. The general test in a strict liability case is whether the product was unreasonably dangerous, regardless of the care taken in designing or manufacturing it. Finally, in a breach of warranty case, the focus is on whether the product was fit for use under the warranty, whether express or implied.

Can I sue the apartment complex if I fall on the apartment stairs?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021

All property owners have a legal obligation to ensure that their premises are safe for visitors, though the extent of their responsibility will vary depending on the visitor's status. A landowner who actively invites others onto his or her property for business purposes, for example, will be required to put in more effort to maintain that property than a landowner who does not expect or invite visitors onto the premises. IfΒ not properly maintained, stairwells have proven to be particularly dangerous for tenants. You can sue the landlord and/or the management company for injuries sustained as a result of falling off the stairs if the stairs were in violation of a building code or considered to be in a "dangerous condition."

What if I was bitten by a dog while trespassing?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021

According to the statute, a dog owner can only be held liable for damages caused by a dog bite victim if the victim was on public property or was lawfully on private property at the time of the bite. This means that if you were trespassing when you were bitten, you cannot hold the dog owner solely responsible for your injuries. However, you may still be able to file a negligence claim against the dog owner. The state of Washington prohibits property owners from intentionally or recklessly injuring trespassers. So, if you entered a property and the owner knew their dog was aggressive and likely to attack you, but failed to restrain their dog anyway, you could have a negligence claim. Ultimately, it's best to consult with an experienced attorney to know your options.

Should I speak with the insurance adjuster first before seeking legal advice?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Nov 17, 2021

Always consult an experienced accident attorney before speaking with an adjuster. The adjuster's job is to reduce the amount paid to satisfy your claim by the insurance company, and they're looking for information they can use to do so. Allow your lawyer to communicate with the insurance company to avoid any misunderstandings that could be used against you. Do not consent to being taped. Never talk to or accept advice from an insurance adjuster, and never reveal any details about your accident. You may not be aware of all of the circumstances at the outset, nor of the full extent of your injuries. Speak with an experienced accident attorney first to protect your rights.

Isn't it true that all personal injury claims are based on negligence?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Oct 18, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Oct 18, 2021

The majority of lawsuits are brought as a result of someone else's negligence. If a defendant fails to follow the standard of care that most people in a similar situation would follow, they may be found negligent and liable for the plaintiff's injuries. Intentional wrongs can also lead to lawsuits or claims. When someone harms you on purpose, it is called an intentional wrong. A personal injury lawsuit could be filed as a result of that deliberate act. Strict liability lawsuits are another option. Without the plaintiff proving that the defendant acted negligently or intentionally, a defendant can sometimes be held liable for an injury. In rare cases like this, the plaintiff only needs to show that the defendant did something wrong. When someone is injured by an unreasonably dangerous product, this is a great example of strict liability.

Do I still have a case if my bicycle accident was caused by a road defect?

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Oct 18, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Oct 18, 2021

Maybe. It depends on whether the circumstances arose as a result of someone's negligence. If the defect was caused by nature, you will most likely need to show that the person who caused it was aware of it or should have been aware of it and had the opportunity to correct it.

Khan Law Firm PLLC | Sep 18, 2021
Khan Law Firm PLLC | Sep 18, 2021
