the store was trashed. I seen three workers two of them were gossiping the whole time. none of them knew what they were doing. and I think a store manager had stopped in, she was wearing a short dress with donuts all over it she looked cute but very unprofessional. I was having problems at the checkout taking my coupon and she didn't even stop to help and then she left. when I first went up to the cashier Toni acted like she didn't want to check me out she kept saying that she had to clock out to her coworkers and then when she did have to check me out she had an attitude about it. the reason I went to the self-checkout in first place is because she acted like she didn't want to check me out. one of the co-workers said that she couldn't help because she was off the clock but she was still standing by the other coworker running her mouth.

The only reason I am giving this review 2 stars is because the manager lady( didn't catch her name) was helpful and nice. My complaint is all about the other employee Pam( oh wait! I mean Tina) was very dishonest and unfriendly. She told me her name was Pam when I asked but come to find out it was Tina. That was the second lie she told me. The first one was about 2 boxes of moon pies that rang up $2.00 but were behind a price sticker with 20 other boxes that said $1.00 and she refused to honor the $1.00 price and proceeded to tell me that she had no one in the store that could change a price for her even though the manager was there. She also charged me for an extra gallon of milk and charged me too much for a box of orange cream ice cream bars. When I took my receipt back in the manager fixed it for me with no problems. That's when I found out that the other employee had lied about her name and I had already known from previous visits who the manager was so I knew right off the bat she lied about that. Not to mention Tina the cashier was not in any type of uniform. Her clothes looked dingy, unprofessional, and worn out. I didn't even realize she worked there at first. I do not recommend shopping at this store due to rude employees and a great deal of items are not priced right or do not ring up the right price. They are also not very good at keeping the store stocked. This is not the first bad experience I have had shopping there. A customer behind me in line stated the same opinion about this location to me as soon as we walked out of the store.

News Flash! Dollar General will upcharge you on certain items. Case in point? Ocean Spray Cranberry juice. The price on the shelf says $1. Get up to the register, DG will charge you $1.25 each. Then to add insult to injury, the sales tax DG will add is excessive. I purchased 5 items all totaling $1 each. The clerk added nearly $1 tax to the bill($.96). Had to correct her on both counts. The clerk claims machine error. Really? From my recollection, this same clerk mentioned machine error weeks ago over this same incident. This incident of upcharge and excess tax has now happened to me twice. I would have thought that DG would have fixed their mistake of overcharging on certain items at the register weeks ago. To any unsuspecting customer distracted by inattentiveness to the items charged, DG stands to make off like a bandit. I have already contacted Consumer Affairs about DG at this location. Consumers beware!

Waited till 10 after 8 for them to open the doors. They are habitually late opening at that store. I know because that's where I buy all the kids in foster care snacks and drinks before I start work at 8:30. Poor management.
