I went to the DMV to renew my drivers license. I had 4 people ahead of me. The clerks were very kind and helpful to the people ahead of me. My number was then called. My clerk, Gwen, was extremely knowledgeable! I was renewing my license but had TSA questions as well as Real ID questions. Gwen answered all my questions. Gwen was extremely kind! I greatly appreciate her. In the past 30 years I have not been treated so kindly at another DMV aka Secretary of State facility. Gwen answered all my questions kindly. I had a great experience at Pontiac Secretary of State office! Gwen made the experience outstanding! Thank you Gwen!!

Illiterate and rude employees. Misspelled my name on the driver's license twice and got address wrong. Also they will make you jump every loop and hoop they manage to come up with. Dreadful experience.

I used to believe that the Pontiac SOS facility was the worst in the region, if not the state. Most of the employees were ill-tempered and a visit there was very unpleasant. A lot of people would travel to other facilities to avoid the staff. Lately the staff has changed and, despite the pandemic, they have been much friendlier and cooperative, at least from my point of view. Let's hope it continues.

Got there at 7am. Twelve people ahead of me. Mike is great. Polite and personal but also got down to business. Came outside as soon as they opened at 7:30 and reviewed paperwork. By 8:15 I was outta there, and my transaction was difficult. The woman at the counter wasn't friendly, but she got the job done quickly. Great job, DMV!!!!

Nooo not sectary of state
Open today but no driving tests. Yesterday not enough employees were able to come to work to open the office. They are going to try to work in a motorcycle test later today.
No. The only thing discounted for disabled people is your plates. For that you have to register with Dept of Aging and it can take up to 90 days for approval.
