The Talbott Hotel

The Talbott was a great place for a weekend in Chicago. It's a little north of the action but much quieter and definitely close to good shopping and food, easy access to Ubers and the L, etc. The room we were given first was fairly small and the view looked directly at another building. The hotels position means most of the rooms have obstructed views so don't be expecting anything spectacular out the window especially if you come late in the week. We were in early in the week so we were able to be moved to one with more to see. The service would have been 5 stars but we ordered ice to the room twice for pre-dinner drinks and it never showed up one hour the first day and 2.5 hours the second day. The front desk was spectacular, Emily is great. And the waitstaff in the restaurant was very attentive. Also, the bell desk saw us walk right past into the hotel with our bags and didn't offer to help. At the time I thought maybe they were the valets or hosts for the restaurant but no, they just let us walk by.

Love the recent Renovations at this place. The vibe of the hotel makes me feel as if we're in Paris but yet we're in Chicago. It almost has a feel of New York as well very clean and very pleasurable experience.

Truly a very special boutique hotel in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, this is absolutely a great place to be. Phenomenal rooms, updated, spacious, and super great staff. From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the restaurant, everyone was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Rooms are quiet, the surroundings, the finishes, design, interior are all of a 5 star boutique quality, amazing bed, bedding, large bathroom, I got a King Suite and loved it with the seating area. Wish I could’ve stayed longer since I was there for business, but I absolutely will be coming back and staying again!

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel restaurant, Prime. It’s such a nice vibe and the staff is extremely friendly. Arturo and our server gave us the best service. Very attentive and informative. All The drinks and the food were amazing. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Chicago.
