This campground for tent camping is great overall. The spots are very shaded with electric and water hookups. We enjoyed our stay the pool was excellent and we also got to hear some live music sunday which was a great way to pass some time. This place is great for a family we didnt find time to try the game room out but did pass by and it looked like a great way to spend the evening or a rainy day. The staff was excellent and helped any way they could also done routine patrols through the day and night so you always felt safe and it kept the noise down once 10pm came. The only down side we found to this campground and it is no fault to the owners is when your close to the lake everything is up hill from the camp sites but once on top everything you would want to do is on top. We will be back!!!!

Used one of the cabins for a quick overnight stay. Overall a decent campground - clean, quiet, decent bathrooms/showers, but has a couple issues (below). Location is nice if you're looking for a getaway, up on a ridge, very pretty. However it's a bit far out of the way for a KOA Journey if you're looking for a "quick" stay. I'm subtracting a couple stars because of the following issues, hopefully the owners take this as constructive criticism - * WIFI - There is no WIFI signal unless you're within about 50 feet of the office and is slow. There is about 1 bar of cell service. I get that this is nature, but I stay at KOAs when I need to do some work, otherwise I'd just stay for free in the woods. When I needed to jump on a couple calls in the morning and had to go find a McDonalds instead. * Rules - There are a billion signs with rules everywhere about things you can't do. Makes the place seem unwelcoming, like they're doing you a favor by letting you stay there as long as you behave yourself to the outlined standards. * The cabin wasn't the cleanest. There were a bunch of dry/dead bugs inside, making it pretty clear it hasn't been swept before I got there. Nothing too gross, but this was the least clean KOA Kabin I've ever stayed at, they're typically spotless. * There is only one set of bathrooms and they are a hike from some of the sites/cabins.

We love this campground! Owners are friendly and fair to all guests. Quiet and set back away from noises. Our kids love the open play areas. A big plus is the annual bluegrass festival In August. As an older campground, there are improvements that the owners are making annually. Know that there are narrower roads, but the A loop (I think) for overnights are open and all have concrete pads for outdoor living. We use grocery delivery bc Kroger is about 20 minutes away. Dollar General is also about 10 minutes away and there is some good local country kitchen food. If you boat/fish, this is the perfect location and one of the only campgrounds close to a marina. Two launches within approximately 1.5 miles! We’ve recommended this to so many people, and not a one has been disappointed. Some have brought campers, others have stayed in cabins. Highly recommend!

This is a nice, clean camp. There is a pool and playground. A good portion of the park is seasonal campers. We stayed in a FHU patio site which was level, but a very long reach for sewer connections. Roads are tight and somewhat difficult to navigate. Flies were relentless. Store is bare bones only, and other than Dollar Stores, there's really nothing within within 30 minutes for shopping.
