This is probably one of the better, if not best Safeway locations in the area. The store has ample parking and is in an excellent location in Herndon. The store itself is really well organized and clean. It's also well stoked with everything and even does a great job with themed items at various times of the year (ie. Christmas stuff in December). The layout of the store is great too, which makes it super easy to find everything. The deli, bakery, etc. are all along the perimeter walls of the store and also well labeled and staffed. The pharmacy has a friendly and competent pharmacist who works quickly to help you... Even when she's swamped with customers. There's even a Starbucks inside if you want a coffee during your shopping trip. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by.
