The staff is standoffish bit nice enough when you engage. The chocolate cupcakes are made with real chocolate and the recipes are reliant on flavor, not sugar. Pretty aesthetic, but the "Royale" feeling isn't really there.

The customer service is definitely lacking. You can be standing there for a while before they acknowledge you. I thought the cupcakes were fresh made every day but it doesn't always seem that way. On top of that they don't make enough cupcakes to sell all day. So at like 4-5pm they have no cupcakes. Their entire purpose is to sell cupcakes.

The cupcake royale website only refers to their own mobile app in regard to alternative payments. Details can be found under "Our App" on their website (top left section of their home page banner). Additionally, a quick search on the apple site revealed a list of merchants currently accepting Apple Pay, but Cupcake Royale is not on that list.
