Could not reach the center on phone. Got put on hold forever and had to drop off the 2 times we called. If going to the hospital is the only way one can get information, what is the use of having so much communication technology?

Overall it's a professional and considerate place. The doctors are sweet and experienced. Seven of nine nurses I met are very nice and sweet, only two of them are less friendly. The only complaintment is about the epidural. They required me to be at least 5 cm wide of the cervix, no matter I said it again and again that I want the epidural now and I had a fast delivery before. Which made me suffer a lot more than my first delivery. BTW, this is my husband's account.

I had baby here about a month ago. I can’t say that my experience was great and I can’t say that my experience was horrible. I did go into labor quickly and my first nurse was super helpful and attentive. But after I got moved out of triage I was already getting irritated. My nurse seemed nice but because my baby kept having a lower heartbeat if I stayed in the same position for too long I had to move positions every contraction. She made a comment that I needed to have my baby soon because she was tired of flipping me around. I laughed it off but later realized that the comment was unprofessional. The DR did not let my boyfriend take video of the baby coming out. I wanted him to get a video with him filming from my side to catch the moment our baby was put on my chest not the actual part where he came out . Then as soon as I delivered I was hurried into the bathroom to change and try to go to the restroom. Right after that I was moved into a tiny mommy and baby room where I couldn’t fit no more than my bf, the baby’s bassinet and one more person. There’s no room for you to have that many people in there plus the nurses popping in and out. The angles of the room are awkward and the table takes up more room than anything. The bed was definitely super uncomfortable. I felt like I was sleeping on a table with no mattress. Most of the nurses were nice but a few of them were super awkward and have no personality to be working in a maternity ward. And let’s not say much about the lactation consultant because she went in and out because she saw the baby feeding. She didn’t even give me the chance to ask questions. Then when it came to checking out we felt rushed to get out and leave. The food there was okay. The staff in the kitchen were very nice and helpful. But the food came up luke warm or cold every time. I’m not sure I would have my next baby here.

I and my wife had our first child here on 04/13/2019 and it was a horrible experience actually, the worst medical experience both of us has ever had (went to multiple hospitals for the relative purpose) before anywhere. With 16 hours of labor, a total of 8 nurses have examined my wife and everyone said different answer and at last, we went for the C-section. If one or two experienced Nurse's was there, we would get our baby with normal delivery. When we visited the Hospital for the Child Birth tour, They told me that they can provide enough room for 3 people at the time of labor and after the childbirth (I have asked them, because my wife and Aunty are not good with American English accent, so I want to be with them every time for translation and help. But the actual room was not enough for two people itself. They didn't provide the room, which was shown in our visiting tour. When I asked to nurse or front Desk person or manager, nobody gave me any supportive answer or nobody responded to my request. EVerybody just ignored my request and we ended up staying in a small room. I don't know, how to survive till we leave from the hospital (next two days in this hospital). It will be a nightmare by sitting in a chair for the whole night. I would suggest, check with the Manager before admitting here or planning labor here. If you want 2 visitors with the patient, then better to plan or ignore coming here. Take care...

You can park at Overlake Childbirth Center parking lot.

Is there a nursery here for newborns? Where nurses keep the baby at night, feed them and get them back to the room in the morning?

I had my baby here on March 30th. The baby stays in the room with you the whole time unless medically necessary. They did not prescribe me any pain pills AT ALL besides ibprophen. I ripped and had stitches they are a natural path hospital! I called overlake obgyn crying in so much pain and they told me to go into any emergency room if im in pain! Which I went into swedish emergency and they gave me oxycodone pain pills!! Thank God!! Be careful!
