My mom has dementia , her "caregiver" stole her money for 6 months . Found my mom in the dark . She'd said nothing. I called and spoke to a nice girl made arrangements , power was turned back on . Mom forgot to pay and they turned her off again . No phone call or notice . Now all of her food has spoiled and melted so no power , no food and she got paid today but go do only knows how long the power has been off because noone called. !!

Tacoma Public Utilities are horrible. They upcharge everything so much, and slap you with ridiculously expensive service fees. If for some reason a payment does not go through there is a solid chance that they will just charge you a withdrawal fee and then not notify you of the remaining balance for months. Good luck getting through to customer service about any problems you have, and good luck getting them to work with you on any sort of doable payment plan if you are low income. Completely ridiculous prices. No one should be charged $20+ in service fees alone per month.

This review is in regards to Tacoma Power tree trimming service: I have been trying to get ahold of someone in this office for almost 3 weeks now and have left multiple voicemails. The recording say voicemails are checked daily yet I have received no call. I just need my line dropped to have a tree removed! We are paying you're employees at TPU, the very least you could do is respond!

TPU is a complete joke. I called today because my bills have doubled with their new meter installs and the customer service agent was a joke. She could not answer any of my questions and would just circle back to saying "its the numbers that the meter reads", was incredibly rude and when I asked to be passed along to her supervisor she put me on a hold that never ended. TPU should take better care of their customers, but looking at their 2 star rating im not surprised.

We aren't supposed to put shredded paper in the recycling since the shredded paper can jam the machines. If paper isn't shredded yes feel free to recycle it.

TPU does not trade in or supply Refridgerators . they will give you a rebate after you purchase a new energy efficient fridge. If they are currently running a rebate. You can get information at mytpu.org/ways-to-save/residential-rebates/

Recycle and garbage cans that usually pick up THURSDAYS....will pick up TOMORROW which is FRIDAY-1/4/19. (FYI...since new years day was this week...everyone is picked up (1) day later. All goes back to your normal day next week)

You should call them to make sure. They may have an after hours number. They do have crews on Saturday but no Admin working. I used to work there.

No the day was 8/1 and the power was to be off from 8am to 5pm the next day 8/1 we were notified om 7/31!@@@
