All around good experience. For all your animal needs this is the place to go. Update , I ran out of prescription food for my dog. I went to pet smart and was told I'd need a prescription from my vet to purchase the dog food. Having almost lost the dog I wanted to keep him on the food he is doing well on. I called the animal clinic and was told I would need to drive to their office to purchase the food. They would not give me a prescription over the phone. The prescription would also cost me 25.00. I suggest I was 3 hours away from their office. Didn't make since to have me drive that far just to get dog food. I was told that's policy. So I thanked them and went to plan b. Dropping my 5 star review. I did ask to speak to the doctor. I was told I couldn't.

We had an emergency on a Saturday when our dog cut his foot pad on glass while camping at the beach. We went Gunnison to find the vet and we walked right in to their open house on their new building. Dr. Sorenson immediately stopped what he was doing and stitched our dog up. They even gave us lunch. That’s what is so great about rural Utah. If you need help somebody will give it. Thank you Gunnison Valley Animal Clinic.

I took my dog here a year ago and it was good they helped my dog at that time. However, in February I has an emergency with my other young dog. Could not get him in to see vet because it was Sunday. Monday called could only get appointment for an emergency after 2pm. He died before I could get him to his appointment. In May I had two horses die. The first one showed signs of lameness and trouble eating. Otherwise fine. Two days later she was dead. Ten days later my show paint came down with the same symptoms. I called this vet told him the urgency and what happened to the first horse. Like my dog no emergency accommodations. 415 was the earliest I could bring her in and if I brought her earlier I would be charged and extra fee. I got there and she was down in the trailer. I ran in and told them. They took their time coming out. When he got out he stood at the trailer and stated "so what do you want me to do, put her down" I then said no I want you to help her. Diagnose what is wrong. He said we don't Diagnose just do pain management. Gave her a shot left us in the parking lot for three hours. When we left he was chasing cows. Two days later I was able to get another vet she had pneumonia and was sepsis. The vet that came out to put her down stated she did not have colic. That whatever she did have could have been treated if diagnosed in time. It was awful. Please don't take your horses to this vet. As for dogs and cats if it is an emergency find someone else. I don't know where he got his degree, but it was the first time a vet told me they don't Diagnose and I have had horse since I was 13 I am 54 now. BEWARE

The staff is absolutely AMAZING!!!! My big malamute, who is a big sissy, was well taken care of and since the price was soooo reasonable, I had a few other procedures done. I will make the 1.5 hour drive to take all my dogs (4) to this clinic!!!

I would love to be able to help you out with your horses, unfortunately I just had my neck replaced and have 2 more surgeries to fix my spine or become a quadriplegic, I was told my days of horses and race cars are over!! If you want to send me your name, phone number and contact info I would be happy together the word out here in Salina. Best of luck with your husband, I'll keep you both in my prayers, God bless you.
