Rude receptionist. They turn on "the charm" once they realize you're either with the union or looking to spend money to join. You can even hear it over the phone. As the first faces and personality of this particular union, you'd think they'd care and behave in a more mature and friendly manner, rather than what I as well as others have experienced and discussed. If I were to judge a book by it's cover, as they have with me and my friends. They'd be recycled, for being toxic and unsafe for the public. -But you don't have to take my word for it. UPDATE! A word of advice. Don't join in the fall or winter months. As they seem to "slow" down around this time. Rather wait till April or May. Otherwise you'll just be paying dues for months. All the while sitting on a Mix20/20 list, calling companies on a Dispatch Report List who refer you to filling out applications. They're not interested in you having any part belonging to this union. One company who I'll spare. Has a warehouse and to even get a position with them; doing that menial labor, you'll have to go through a TEMP AGENCY.

I visited here friday to reinitiate myself into the brotherhood. The secretary, Maria, was extremely helpful. Answered all my questions got me set up and offered solutions I didn't even know about.

Hello Gordon, Thanks for reaching out. The UBC Constitution states dues are due on the 1st of every month. The member has several payment options. You can mail in a check, or money order, call the office and pay by debit or credit card (there is a $3.00 credit card processing fee), PayPal, set up bill pay with your personal banking institute. The Local offers quarterly recurring due, and monthly deduction via Qualstar. Hopefully this information helps. If you have further questions give us a call 425-277-4139, my name is Maria.
The pin you set up yourself. Your UBC number is located on your dues card and members training card.
You have to apply for the apprenticeship program. I think some of your experience may count. Look up the Carpenters Training Center in Kent and talk to them. They can give you more info.
Good afternoon Justin. Local 41 does not require you have a GED or drivers license for membership. I can not answer if the contractor or apprenticeship may require one. You'd have to ask them directly. Best of luck to you!
