What a gem! The pastries are incredible. 100% worth the calories. Coffee was good (nicely roasted espresso, but the milk was more foam than silk in the latte), but the baked goods are the true stars. Well worth a detour if you’re traveling to the Olympics or taking the ferry from Seattle.

The almond/banana twice baked croissant literally brought tears to my eyes it was so good. I have been a chef for 15 years and have eaten A LOT of amazing food. Do yourself a favor and get some damn fine pastry from this place.

This is the classic hidden gem. A star pastry chef from a Michelin restaurant decides to run their own place their way. The quiche was the fluffiest, lightest most amazing I have ever eaten. Better than those I’ve had in AIX or Nice or Paris. The croissant are quintessentially French. Their famous egg pastry wasn’t yet being made at 8:20am, so I will be back another weekend to try them. Wow !

We are always in search of good baked goods, and especially croissants, so we drove all the way from Tacoma. It was definitely worth it and the Stumptown coffee was also excellent. I love that you can only get a regular espresso drink, no flavors, and the only milk they have is dairy. It's not so great for the lactose intolerant but otherwise I LOVE the simplicity. The same goes for the pastries -- as a person with ADHD I always appreciate less choices.
