hire better personnel in the liquor section. i waited for a cabinet to be unlocked, older lady with short gray hair looked dead at me and flat out ignored me. i approached her to ask her if i need to wait in the check out line to be assisted (only because the first time i had been there, a different team member approached me as soon as i entered the area and unlocked a cabinet for me and my husband), before i could finish my sentence only a few feet away from her, she huffed and puffed with irritation outright ignoring me then stormed off to approach a man who had been waiting less time than me. i followed them around the corner to ask her again but left after i heard her say to the man with an attitude “yea whaddya want!?”. at that point i realized she purposely ignored me and i will not be patronizing that section again. i’ll keep liquor purchases exclusively to total wine or specs where there are people who actually want to assist customers. i was going to complain to a store manager but i knew that they would most likely just apologize. i dont want apologies, i want better service and to not be ignored by staff when i regularly spend hundreds of dollars in your store.

Grocery side of the store is set up very confusing. Not enough cashiers open, parking lot is absolutely awful.

Generally this store is a good place to shop with pretty good customer service but I picked up a cake I ordered today for my child's first birthday and a smash cake was to be with it but wasn't even made. I was told that I didn't order the right sized cake for a smash cake. So instead of calling me from the info on the order sheet so I can make the adjustments to my order, they just didn't make a smash cake. The lady grabbed a cupcake off the shelf and told me "babies don't care as long as they have something!" I am very disappointed in this experience and I hope this never happens to anyone else.

Fred Meyer, still hanging in there. Dealing with the shortage of employees means you may have to check yourself out, but there is help available at the checkstand. Still has more available than most other standalone grocery mega stores.

When you enter the store they are right there in the side by the carts

It's just across the parking lot from the home side entrance of Fred Meyer.
They are refraining from enforcing masks likely due to the hostility some businesses experienced with customers who were confronted and told to wear masks. The CDC said its best not to confront these people because a lot of time they are aggressive or become aggressive which cause even more interaction and more involvement. Fredmeyers has enforced this rule, I've seen it first hand, try to understand they are most likely trying their best to keep everyone safe! No. They do have exchange though. To get one filled, you'll need to find an lpg filling station.
