Turkey Hollow Campground

We had a great time at Turkey Hollow! The camp site was private and secluded. Matt has firewood for sale and fire rings at each site, so we were able to have a small bonfire and roast some smores, then we enjoyed a quiet and restful night. The john was clean and just a short walk from where the sites are located. Note the entrance is down some dirt switchbacks so I wouldn't recommend trying to haul a trailer or RV down there. It is listed as primitive camping only for good reason. All in all, we'd like to extend our thanks to Matt for his hospitality, and we'd stay again if we were in the area!

Loved this campground. All the necessities are provided... Porta potties, picnic tables, fire rings, and wood available for purchase (plus wagons for hauling to your site!). Adorable and friendly camp dog, Kyra, visited regularly. One caveat: sites are all hilly, so be aware of uneven ground.

Matt was great. We set up in the wrong place but let us stay were we were. This place is clean and family friendly. Beautiful views no matter where u r. We were in Kermit bottoms. Suggestion, maybe put a sign that says group campers only otherwise we had a great time there and will be back. Highly recommend this place. Thank you matt

As a last minute change in plans I had to find a campground with availability for a Saturday night near Mohican. I found this campground and tried calling but hung up just as someone answered. A minute later, Matt called me right back and was super friendly and accommodating. I reserved a "site" online and was booked in minutes. The campground was very clean and scenic. It's dispersed camping so there aren't real sites so we made our own next to a group that said they didn't mind as we weren't right on top of them. The road to get down into the grounds is large gravel and was pretty rough on my little car but I'd you have a larger one it'd be no problem. We enjoyed it and will come back in the future!
