I would give Edmonds Police Department 0 if there is the option. When a civil dispute happened, the police officer teamed with one side and didn't take the entire thing into consideration while approaching an incident. The officer and his superior didn't show that they could think logically and reasonably. Police should receive more education and show their empathy to people who are victims of civil disputes. The soaring crime rate in the great Seattle area shows that PD fails. When a crime happened, they couldn't show up immediately. However, they appeared right away when a non-emergent case happened. They just put the cart before the horse and just want to do the easy job. They don't deserve the equipment provided to them.

Friendly officers and usually quick to respond to non-emergency situations. They'll come talk to you if you flag them down. As a c-store employee, it's nice to have a police presence in the area.

was told that we have to apply for a complaint form against an officer? Apply for? Whats is there to this application that requires a citizen with a complaint has to apply for it? Sad how we think our police is autonomous and not accountable to the police. Awaken at 1230am for a report on a 8 hour alleged violation by email of an order? How sad....

Officers spend hours in local coffee shops not working, but the very short office hours make the police very difficult to access when needed. The police set up speed traps around town yet can frequently be seen driving 40+ on our 25 mph streets and blowing through stop signs on their motorcycles. When they get really bored they ticket people for parking too long even when demand for parking is extremely low. I'm quite disappointed in the local police. I wish they'd act as peace officers.
