Update: it is 6 months past demo. For what was originally quoted as a 6 week project, our basement is still unliveable. Our brand new air conditioner is malfunctioning due to 6 months of dust accumulation according to the AC guy who was here yesterday because of insufficient mitigation. Several construction workers (who we personally all got along with) have quit the project due to what they have told us to be lack of support, and non-existent or erroneous information from The Basement Guys on our project. The Basememt Guys won't even give us a completed updated contract on the project. We can never reach them, so we are forced to spend an immense amount of time with the contruction workers ourselves. My kid's allergies from the 6 months of dust accumulation is unbearable and I am sleeping on my living room floor. I am hesitant to speak on the quality of work done so far since so little work has been done, but I will be posting pictures soon and just warn you that if quality of work oversight has been done, we haven't seen it. I just want my house back the way it was and regret ever starting a project with this company. They performed a demolition on our basement at the end of November 2021. It is now Valentine's Day 2022 and our basement is still in the same condition. We set up time for a proper phone call to walk through our contract tonight and they didn't call. We were willing to be patient because of the labor national shortage, but their lack of communication, careless/incorrect orders, refusal to explain/apologize/clarify and general disrepect for our time and property is inexcusable. We even reached out to their other office and recieved no communication back.

I have recently relocated to PA from FL (where basements don’t exist) and purchased my house. To my surprise, I found out that it is NOT normal to have standing water in a basement. I called another company and got an (outrageous) quote from an overly pushy salesman and lost all motivation to fix my issue. Then after experiencing my first winter and the aftermath I decided it wasn’t optional to wait. I did another trusty Google search and contacted these guys. Within days I had the salesman Bill come to my house and he was so friendly I immediately felt comfortable. He was very honest and straight to the point and even had a diagram to show me what he was going to be doing. Not once did I ever feel skeptical about what I was being told. I hired them on the spot and once I called with payment I was put on the schedule. I was told 6-8 weeks which I found very reasonable but they actually contacted me in just under a month and said they had an opening 2 days from then and I accepted. Despite what the other company had told me, the job was done and pump was installed in just 3 days (not 2 weeks). It feels really nice actually being able to put stuff down in the basement and my power bill is also appreciative for not having to run a dehumidifier 24/7. 10/10!
