I can't get anyone on the phone to even schedule an appointment. Avoiding because what if I actually need my doctor to help me?

Terrible, no empathy at all, I need the results asap, because I already have 2 week off from work, and the lady just says, I just have an available appointment on 2 weeks more, just for the results!!! Really??? They don't care about the patient situation.

The office personnel is the worst I've ever seen. They screwed up my appt. date 2 times. Don't waste your time here....

I never even got to the first appointment. I see reviews from 2+ years ago this place received 4+ stars. I'm also seeing recent 1-star ratings, and I fully understand. In short - I keep getting the same voice upon leaving a message, and upon the 1 message i got back. I also believe it's the same person who scheduled me for my first appointment. We finally connected last week, to which I had left a message asking if possible to get an appointment for this week, as I happen to be off work. She called me last week and scheduled me for next week. I didn't balk, as I needed to see a doctor for my sleep apnea and my cpap machine has been recalled. She scheduled me with a doctor WHO IS RETIRING!! Unless he suddenly announced his retirement this week, I'm guessing she more than likely knew this. How did I find out? I received an automated message about 10 minutes ago informing me that Dr. Austin is retiring I believe at the end of October or November - got so frustrated that I can't recall just that quickly - and that I need to call to schedule with a different doctor (the call came during a time that the office is closed for the day, by the way). Of course I tried to call immediately to find that the office is closed. That did it. I'm now on the hunt for a new sleep doctor. I don't know who's running the ship over at Texas Pulmonary, but either it's sinking, has sunken or is chocked full of individuals who couldn't care less about (at least) "potential" patients. And this (apparent) one individual who's responsible for scheduling - God bless her. I don't know what's going on, but someone needs to get a handle on the shenanigans. I don't know if she's horrible overworked, or what, but someone needs to step-in. I'm writing this to warn other potential clients. If this is how poorly one is treated upon mere scheduling, what in the world could be going on once scheduled? Whatever it is, I leave it to them. I hope, for your existing patients' sake, that your medical professionals are a world better than your staff.

Ms. Trumball, you may want to call the office and/or delete your question. This is the Yahoo maps/review site and is very public. I wish you well on your diagnosis -- from another Texas Pulmonary patient.

Do u need a referral

The insurance company may not require a referral, but our internal policy is to accept patient referrals from another physician. This is to best manage the patient's and the provider's time. If the patient has a condition that can be managed by a primary physician, the patient can avoid time and money spent on a specialist visit.
