Wall is a little old now, could probably use some touch ups and a new paint job, but for a free wall with self belays, it's a pretty nice set up

It was great to get out, no better place then climbing for free. The rangers are taking good care of the park.

Really love this place! You have many options including autos to climb with and can choose to use holds or the wall itself. Well kept park!

Do you have to bring your own equipment for rocking climbing?

Yes. You’ll need harness and shoes.

I'm a climber who will be in Columbus OH next week. I've got my climbing gear (but not belay device or rope) but I've not used an auto belay. Is there someone there to show how it's used?

There's not someone designated to be there however anyone there climbing would be more than happy to help you use the auto belay and show how to safely use it. I do know the auto belays are taken down at some point for winter, but I haven't been there in a bit over a month so not sure when they are taken down.
