I should have read the reviews here prior to making an appointment at Angrist's office in Point Pleasant. The office itself doesn't seem clean, it's cluttered and dated. Angrist himself rushes you through his exam, which will last 2 minutes after his asst. does the crux of the work, cuts you off if you speak, and rushes you right out. He actually admitted to me he doesn't have patience with people. Take his word for it.

Do NOT go here and if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you. I made an appt months in advance, I called to confirm the week before my appt, and when I showed up I was turned away. They said I needed a referral to see them. It sounded funny to me and when I checked with my insurance I found I DID NOT need a referral. My bigger issue with them is that I had been there before without a referral and I was never told prior to my appt that I would need one, even when I called to confirm. Very disappointed that they didn’t consider my time valuable. Would NOT recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Angrist in NJ even though I live in NY. I had an eye emergency that was misdiagnosed by the Emergency room over the holidays some years ago. He took care of it, and I have been going for check ups since.
