Visited Scent Bar NYC a couple weeks ago. Waited in line outside as there is an occupancy limit enforced. I follow Luckyscent on instagram and have purchased from their website before. It was my first time in the store, but likely the last. Once I got in, I asked to sample a few perfumes I had been interested in. The store associate seemed disinterred in helping me and was rather rude. I asked if she could show me anything similar to what I was sampling, and she simply said no. I had to ask to try specific fragrances myself, with no suggestion or guidance. The other customer in the store, on the other hand, seemed to be having a much better experience. At a certain point, the associate reminded me that there is a line outside and that I only have a certain amount of time remaining. Mind you, the other customer who was being assisted had been in the store for a longer period of time than we had. And we still had time remaining, according to their limit. Seemed as if the store associate wanted to rush me out. I love fragrances and surely will be taking my business elsewhere. Have had much better experiences at other perfumeries in the city.

probably the best niche fragrance store in the city. i haven't been to all, but the most diverse collection is certainly here - especially those hard to find in stores and primary available online. the staff at the "bar" counter were helpful and generous with regards to choosing a fragrance. luckily, there wasn't a whole lot of people in there so they allowed me to keep sampling away. i ended up purchasing which i still wear to this day!

I had such a fun experience today at scent bar. I have very specific taste in perfume and I told Anya what I was looking for. She was very kind and took a lot of time and effort to show me a variety of scents she thought I'd like. I loved the experience of smelling so many interesting perfumes. Anya had specific information about each perfume and I loved hearing what made each scent special. September also showed me some of her favorites scents. Highly recommend this store and the helpful, knowledgeable staff.
