What a special place. My first time doing this. The atmosphere is welcoming to all. I didn't see them pushing any political or social ideology (which is a breath of fresh air, here in Washington 😉). A safe space where each guest is encouraged to relax and express themselves -- through painting pottery! I came with my elderly Dad, and it was so chill, just hanging out playing with color and decorating pots. The staff were attentive, helpful and fun. Yes, it's a little pricey, but considering the three kilns running 24/7 , inflation, recent wage increases, and the downtown Poulsbo location, I feel this delightful "you paint" studio is fairly priced. Good value, in my opinion.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary, and couldn't have asked for a better date away from the kids! It was a great, no-stress opportunity to connect over something creative. It really makes painting more enjoyable to have Dancing Brush provide everything you could possibly need, and clean up after you. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and made the process approachable. Such a gem!

It was my daughter-in-laws birthday and she chose Dancing Brush Studio. Since I’m not too artistically inclined I was a little hesitant about picking out a pottery piece and painting it. But to my surprise I actually enjoyed the experience. It was a great family experience. The friendly staff stepped us through the process and we all had fun, especially our granddaughter. I’m thinking I may come back again and try out my new found talent or maybe just to have some fun!

First visit was a bit overwhelming when you don't know what to expect. Their are so many choices of what to paint, add all the other options, such as templates, sponges, brushes so much more. I had a blast and will certainly go back. With masks on was hard to hear the instructions.

We follow the state requirements, whatever they currently are. Please call the studio for current answers.

Is it possible to fire several pieces that we did in a different location in Issaquah?

Carmen Phillips | Aug 14, 2022

It might be possible, if we can assure that they are the same type of ceramic and can fire to the same temperature. You would need to pay our studio session or a firing fee, depending on whether you need to finish painting them. Please speak to the manager.

You do not need an appointment. We are a walk-in studio. We can make appointments for larger parties, as it may be more difficult to seat larger parties.
